The weather was an interesting omen to say the least, cloud cover had well... covered everything, and yet it was almost as bright as it would be on a hot summer day. Cold air with a warm wind made Ulaya of balanced slightly, since they had never expirienced this kind of phenomina before. Unsure weather or not the Gods had something to do with it, many believed that today was a day to lie low and not do anything rash, just in case.
Shedding was not something either Seris or Sinent liked to do, it was just way to much work, although the end result left them both with a shinnier an prettier hide. Sometimes the male wondered why he had to be a hyrid, but after a minute of thinkig he'd realze that he would in fact not ever wish to be... normal. Today the pair of snakes found themselves wondering closer to the tree line than they normally did since they both were weirded out by the od weather, it just felt wrong for some reason. "Seriss... you're lucky I can help you sshed. You aren't reduced to rubbing treess..."
He had already gotten rid of most of the bulky, thick fur, but small tufts of it still remained on the back of his legs near the paw area. Although for those he was content to leave them be, it wouldn't be long until the tufts fell out on their own. "Today... I feel a bit of concern might be needed."

It was indeed a day of unfortunate events for any Ulaya who was caught wandering near that forest. The dark depths would take on a sinister tone. As if something evil lurked inside. Something that was slowly twisting an d rotting the trees from the inside out. Leaves curling and turning brown before fluttering to the ground. The noise of animal life all but disappeared.
Then she walked out of the darkness.
Blood, death, would be the first things on a Ulaya's mind when they caught sight of her. Wonder would follow, at the sight of her ever bleeding wings, paws and eyes. She was beautiful, but dangerous.
Red-violet eyes scanned the world as the ground beneath her paws turned brown and sickly. When she caught sight of the green male, a wicked grin spread on her lips. "Well, well..."

Suddenly out of nowhere, a shiver ran up his spine and spread through the rest of his body, it only lasted a few seconds but it was long enough to warn him that something had changed. Seris too had felt the pessure change, not only that be she had felt the rythmn of the forestlife fade, but the effect on her was less than that on her partner. The leaves began to dry up and fall around the two at an alarming rate, and whatever was causing it had to be close. "Ssomething... issn't right."
Slowly turning around in a incomplete circle, the hybrid male finally saw what was making everything die around them. Stunned into a statue like position, Sinent's system didn't want to work any longer. Red, black, purple, blood... It wasn't even a second before the male could recall the name of the female who had appeared in this world. In small, quiet words that he had no knowledge of speaking, Sinent dropped into a low awe (and fear) induced bow. "The Goddess of Death... De'taila'ketra."

Slim brows were raised as the male bowed. "Manners... how nice." De'taila paced foward. The dying land went before her, spreading under Sinent, and the feel of death would tingle his paws. There was a cracking sound, and the trees beyond the borderline started to topple over. Crashing to the ground with resounding and sickening cracks. The once beautiful forest was becoming a wasteland.
"And you would be Sinent. The snake hybrid." The Goddess peered at the snake he carried, grinning.

Small, sharp pinpricks of pain jabbed at his paws as the brown wave of death rippled out past him, but he dared no move from his spot. It wasn't until the loud sounds of falling trees reached his ears that he chanced a glance at the dying forest, his hunting spot was being destroyed just by the Goddess's presence. The feelings that should have emurged at the destruction was quailed by the shock of coming face to face with a devine, let alone the one who controls their very lives. Returning his gaze back upon the female to find she had covered the distance between them in only a few moments of time, Sinent looked down respectively before answering her words. "Y-yess my Goddesss..." It shouldn't surprise him that the immortal knew his name and his type, she was a goddess after all.

The pinpricks would fade away as the Goddess controlled her power. Leashed it and drew it back within herself. The once lust forest now lay in ruins. Trees half rotted, a few stubborn ones retaining their upright position.
"You may look me in the eyes, male." Her husky voice was flavored in amusement. "Such good manners deserve at least a little reward."

A wasteland, baren and devoid of all life other than the three beings that stood facing eachother. It had been a great, acient forest, one that had deserved respect from everything that had lived in it. But now it held no more of it's wonder and mysteries, it was a corpse upon the land that would take a millenia to grow back... if it could even grow back. The only way anyone would know if this Goddess's power would allow the forest to return to it's wonderful glory, is when the first sprouts of plants emurge from the soil.
The now silent plain only emphisized the Goddess's voice as she spoke once again, reflecting both the power and amusement in her voice. Obediently raising his eyes from the dead ground, Sinent let them settle onto her face, although he still didn't feel comfortable looking into the female's eyes. Her presence was still sinking into his mind, as if he was struggling to accept the fact he was speaking to a goddess. "It iss an honor Goddesss De'taila'ketra..." Let alone frightened, he was also nervous beyond belief, but under the circumstances... anyone else would be too. Save for other gods....

The forest would grow back. More swiftly then a millenia. Now with the Goddess of Life here, her powers would be countered and the forest returned to normal within the month. The thought of that Goddess made her bristle. How dare that female think she could return by being born by her. Claws dug into the earth and her power was sent down into it. The hardpacked dirt started to turn to sand, then into dust behind her. Damn her...
"And it's De'taila. You'll meet Ketra soon enough."

"Forgive me Goddesss." Dipping his head once more, Sinent watched as the devine's power turned the ground into sand and then dust. Her expression had changed from amused to dislike, and at the moment he hoped that he hadn't done anything to upset her. For that mistake could cost him his life more than upsetting another god or goddess, but De'taila's gaze looked more concerned with things that have nothing to do with himself... but one could never be to sure about anything concerning Gods. "If I may be sso bold... you look... annoid?"
Feeling his slitted eyes refocus to the light now that the tree's no longer cast a small shadow, Sinent considered how the weather had been so ominous earlier. Maybe it had been trying to warn the mortals that one of their gods had desended onto the earth... one that is normally quite unforgiving.

"No, you may not be so bold." She hissed. With a conscious effort she smoothed her fur down. Her power was pulled from the earth, though it did nothing to return the dust to soil.
"Now... you may show me around your world."

"I am ssorry." Bowing his head again with a wince, Sinent waited in silence for the Goddess to take total control of herself before relaxing, if only slightly. The snake like male prided himself in being a gentleman, but even he didn't know how to act correctly around a god. It was going to be a long day of trial and errors, hopefully one of those errors wouldn't lead to his demise. It made him wonder why he of all Ulaya had to chance upon a Goddess today...
"Asss you wissh Goddesss." Making sure he remained a step behind and a few steps away, Sinent tried to remember the terane around the great forest. "That foressst used to be one of the great foresstss of the land... a prime hunting sspot for many carnivorouss Ulaya and animalss. There iss a river not far off, itss large and sslow moving, but very nice to look over."
