Farm for what? Gold or mats? If you need mats, where you farm depends on what you need. If you want gold, I would suggest just questing and leveling as normal.
Outland quests pay fairly well. They pay so well that I was able to get my flying mount on my warlock as soon as I turned level 70, without even trying, without having any gathering professions, and without borrowing any gold from my main.
Worry about the gold more when you're level 70; it's easier then. At 70 you can fly from place to place, quests pay even more, and there are lots of daily quests.

i like that mage village in netherstorm for primal manas. 2-3 shot the mobs, decent droprate, tends to be empty.

Uhm...
Zangarmarsh: Mote of Life Blades Edge Mountains: Mote of Fire and Earth Shadowmoon Valley: Mote of Fire and Earth and Water (at those funky pools) Nagrand: Mote of Earth Netherstorm: Mote of Mana
As far as mats go... wink

level first, doing quests in the several Outland areas should easily get you to level 70, on my last character I only cleared 4 out of 7 areas before I hit 70 (Hellfire, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar, and Shadowmoon -> most people do nagrand instead of the last one, but I just like the atmosphere in Shadowmoon). As you hit 70, get your flying mount (or keep questing until you have enough money for it), and then go grind w/e you need, either mats for professions or reputation, or motes for money. further on, you might want to consider PvP or 5-man dungeons to get better gear.
