Lately, all of the characters seem to be changing in MT... the most noticable as of right now is Piro's maturity... I mean, he just said something perfectly reasonable to all those fanboys (1080) after all his whining and freaking out in recent chapters-his maturity is headed up, and I think he may just stop being so pessimistic and whatnot (or at the very least he's headed there- I'm not so sure he's ready to trust Miho yet.)

Speaking of, Miho's seemed a little more human lately- her little scoff in 1078 seemed more human that we're used to seeing from her, and this has been true since she first cried back in... Chapter 6 was it? Yeah, in the Cave of 3vil. Even she seems to have noticed it, as she expressed some confusion after helping Kimiko escape the fanboys... I think that even though she still considers herself "playing" the other people around her, she's actually starting to care.

Of course Yuki's just a mess right now... I think she can handle herself though, as long as she can get a grip on her self-esteem and have enough confidence-if Largo believes in her now, than I think she's got a lot of hope. In all honesty though, I really do think that boy she hit will continue to be a problem- he keeps saying inadvertantly "I totally like you" things that are bound to become plot points. After all, for every romantic problem that solves itself, we need another, right?

As far as Largo and Erica go, I think they've finally got an understanding... poor Largo though, he seems to lack confidence in himself for the first time- but women don't seem to be his strong point.

I hope Ping can put herself together though... It looks like the other girls might let up though, so hopefully she'll be able to get some self-affirmation going.

Discuss this and other current and past character developments. What did you see as the defining moment for your favorite character? Where do you think some of the characters are headed? And discuss any little hints we may have missed- what do Junpei's posture, Miho's decor, and other subtle things about the characters tell you about them?

i have to agreee miho is becoming more human nd less evil zombie queen ... maybe theres a problem with her or something but i think its kinda good to see more of her softer side after all she is JUST a girl. hmmms ive also noticed that everyone in megatokyo is virtually paired off except for miho (by everyone i mean the recent characters). maybe she just feels lonely and wants someone to love her. it explains the cave of evil and her saying no one will ever love the real me in 1078

You have a point there; however, after she made that statement in 1078, she gave a sort of scoffing "pffft", and buried her scowling face into her collar childishly. This suggests to me that she was mocking Kimiko, and her previous speech in general, but then found some truth to it and wanted to be away from the topic. And yes, everyone does seem to be drifting away from possible Miho romance, but I don't think that means she's out of the 'game' yet, as she stated to Dom when he came to fight her at the high school (don't remember what number...).

I agree that lonelyness probably developed a lot of her personality... her only real family seems to be the staff of the CAVE, as the school nurse stated in Vol 2 that she could never get ahold of Miho's parents. I think that her needing some love is definately an important plot point, especially after we saw her reaction to Piro's outrage at the CAVE that she would toy with Largo's feelings.

1081- I was surprised at Piro's maturity in 1080, the whole 'I don't need to be so overzealous, she can suceed on her own' thing, but now it seems he still doesn't trust her to battle the forces of L4rgo... but hey, Yuki's here now, so maybe he'll be too busy teaching her how to kill zombies to ruin the event.

...that's wishful thinking, huh?

(1083)GASP! Sayuri is Kuma-san! [Is that what they called her, or is that just what I've been calling her?] I was sure it was another ninja- this really says a lot about her. I mean, most of us liked her already, but this just shows us how much she really cares- I think Kimiko would cry if she knew. And she's friends with Kenji.... I smell a possible connection to Miho here.

xd Yuki is an interesting new breed of Magical Girl....I think that Largo will make a warrior of her yet. But the zilla seems to have a tough time of keeping her focused...boys just don't know when to be quiet and let us ladies save the world. 3nodding (1084)

1085 - So Largo and Piro finally meet up, Largo has been laying about him with a bat, as per usual. But now what does Piro need the bat for: Largo or the zombie hord?

It's strange that Piro always gets smacked right in the forehead. That's
like, the third or fourth time. Poor guy really does need a helmet...

And I'm very interested to see how Yuki learns to deal with her magical
girl powers. I noticed her hair has a little 'Saint Tail' curl at the end
(another hint at her 'thief' magical girl type...). I love that she's taking
style cues from Largo heart 3nodding She'll be the coolest magical
girl ever!

And Miho...I think she's finally discovering that yes, she can do good
(but due to her nature, Piro isn't ready to trust her...). Plus, I still don't
know what she'll do at Kimiko's event. Also, Kimiko is like nobody else
Miho has ever dealt with. She's someone Miho can't just manipulate
either (and the girl stood up to Dom of all people!)

Can't wait to see how this turns out smile

[1085] Yes, I like Piro's new additude towards Largo... not that he's always sarcastic and angry at Largo, but now he seems to be willing to not only force Largo into doing some sensible things, but to work with him.

[1086] Ahh, and now Largo shows us how much he conisiders Piro an ally (maybe not a useful one...). I appreciate his willingness and recognition of Piro's romantic goals- his realtionship with Erika probably heps him empathize.

[1087] Kimiko's honest is very refreshing, but may give Piro a heart attack. He needs to be prepared for her to make such statements. But I think she's worrying too much- she's spilling quite a lot to these fans, and I'm not sure whether things will be better for it.
