The reason is because if they did, we would have a LOT more paintball related injuries, overshooting, and vandalism. There is no BPS cap/lock on a spyder allowing for the gun to only shoot one speed. That many paintballs leaving a barrel and hitting someone's mask could shatter the mask or even push it off of their face. They also don't shoot that fast because the maximum allowed rate of fire is 15.4 BPS in any given tournament(many are lowering their allowed rate of fire for the 2008 seasons- PSP, Millennium, CFOA are the three that I remember- XBall in both CFOA and PSP will nto have an affected rate of fire though both have been slighlty modified for the 2008 season)
that's not the nxl rules, are they?
and yes, that's in tournaments, but more than half the people that play paintball play for recreation.
and if noone wants a 20bps gun, then almost all paintball companies would be out of business.
alot of people want fast markers to show off with.
I wasn't asking if someone is going to get hit with alot of paintballs, I'm asking if there are any flaws in this design that would make this marker malfunction.
of course I'm not going to use this against someone, it would be a waste of paint and no fun.
personally I'm getting into pump.^^
