In chapter 385 we find out from Itachi that he had an accomplice during his clan's massacre. His "accomplice and teacher" is none other than Uchiha Madara, he who fought the First Hokage, he who was named by the Kyuubi, and who Tobi claims to have the power of.

Itachi also conferms that the Mangekyou has two other abilities, control over the Kyuubi, and invincible immortal. Both of which Madara has achieved.

Before his battle with Pain, Jiraiya said he believed that the Kyuubi had been summoned to Konoha by someone and the only one he knew with the power to do that was Madara (If this is true, then Madara is to blame for Minato's death). The Kyuubi himself even said he had met Madara. Sasuke, even without the Mangekyou, was able to supress Kyuubi's power. I can't believe I wasn't able to put two and two together, but the Uchihas seem to be the true masters of the Kyuubi.

I am left in utter shock eek and awe at Kishimoto-sama's amazing talent for producing table turners consistently throughout his fantastic manga, Naruto. I have no idea as to how he does it, and I can only say that the man is nothing short of a genius 3nodding .
