A Hedgehog in the Fog.

WATCH THE VIDEO. IT IS WORTH WATCHING AND I ASSURE YOU IT WILL LEAVE YOU WITH QUESTIONS.

Here is my explanation and I'd love to have a debate.

This is a video about a hedgehog that is going to find his friend and he sees a horse and wonders how it can breathe in so much fog. So he goes into the fog, sees things, ext. Its a ten minute video so explaining it is hard.

This video is really worth it. Now. The discussion is what everything symbolises.

Here is what I think:
I think the hedgehog is a man who sees a lady-the horse, falls in love with her and wonders how she is the way she is and follows her. The he gets confused and scared-the fog and sees little bits of hope - the fireflies. Soon after, he becomes confused on his morals-the tree and loses his hope there-the jam. Then, I believe he gets even deeper lost and people try to hurt him[the police?]-the owl and bats, and he decides to die-going into the river.

When he decides to die, something saves him-THAT is what confuses me. And in teh end, he finds his way back with the dog-who I believe is sanity, and gives him his jam-hope. Even when he finds his friend, he questions the horse-the girl.

What is your opinion?
Was the horse good or bad?
What DID the horse represent?

[[Most Gaians were too ignorant and simple minded to even watch it so I hope you can all enjoy this video.]]

That is a beautiful video.

As it is based on a Fairy tale I feel quite justified in interpreting it as such. A tale about wandering off the path into another world, where the rules are strange and the inhabitants stranger. Some are helpful (dog, Someone), some are scary but seem to intend no harm (bats), and some are actively mischievious (owl).

A white animal, normally a doe, is often the character in Celtic tales that leads the human off the path, they fall in love with her and are led into the otherworld, where they are often trapped. Despite his apparent escape, the Hedgehog is still trapped by the thought of the horse... once you enter Faery, you can never truly leave.

Crossing a river is thought to stop bad spirits as they cannot pass over running water, and a river often marks to boundaries to the Otherworld. So I'd interpret this as a Fairy Tale.

If you want a more modern, psychological interpretation, it could be said to be a cautionary tale about trying to understand things beyond your world, a warning against following strangers or sticking your nose in where it doesn't belong.

The horse isn't good or bad, to my mind, just Other, and therefore fascinating.

PS; Calling people "ignorant and simple minded" because they didn't want to spend 10 minutes watching a random video recommended by someone they don't know seems like quite a rude thing to do. It is not ignorant or simple minded to decide not to click on someone elses link, it is a personal choice.
