abithehunter Wheeeee!!! Fellow Bass Clarinets!!!!! (No one really thought I could do it. I'm a petite little thing. Plus I'm a girl and a girl playing the bass clarinet is UNHEARD of at my school) it was unherd of at my school for a very long time as well.

I played bass clarinet for a while, but our school only had one that was very old, and had a really bad air leak in it, so i quit playing it, but i loved it while i play it.

I'm the only bass clarinet player in the varsity band and I'm a girl. The younger bass clarinets sections are all made up of girls too, I think there is only one boy in the beginning band that plays bass clarinet...

I have played since 4th grade and I made it fourth chair in the ABC unified school district middle school honor band

I play bass clarinet in concert band and all state-wide honor bands and solo&ensemble. I also marched it for one year (I don't recommend it.)

DUh!! I also play bassoon, clarinet, flute, piano, recorder, snare drum, bass drum... (all sorts of percussion)

I aboslutely and positively LOVE my bass clarinet. Though I am the only girl to play it...and the only girl in the low woodwind/low brass section...AH WELL!
