l~Shadow08~l I hate it when Wind players do that! (our drumline is really awesome and dont really say that kind of stuff to our faces, but they do have their moments -_-) What really pisses me off is that our pit puts in 10x the rehearsal than the rest of our band. Pit may not be as phsyically challenging, but it puts much more pressure on us to perform, play our hearts out, and not cause any major tears. *end rant* Well said! o: I was thinking that, but couldn't put it into words. (wez in the same pit. X33)

i agree! it bothers me SO MUCH when like say the battery gets all pissed off and complains how lazy the pit is. for this marching saeson and winter drumline season, i was in the pit. and we work our asses off... its almost not fair that the battery gets all this attention about how hardworking they are and the pit gets no recognition whatsoever. we work just as hard as they do. at max, the most amount of drum heads they play on is 4. and then theres the mallet percussion in pit, and theyve got the marimba, xylophone, vibraphone, bells, chimes... etc! they think its easy peasy... -shrug- they just need to get it through their simple brains that we are worth having around ^_^

Thyat is so wrong!!! Honestly! Why would you diss your pit? They're needed just as much asa trumpet, or a flute! I'm not even in pitand this makes me mad. My ex bf(JERK) keeps telling me that pit isn't needed and that they should all just quit! I want to slug him SO BAD! And anyone else who agrees!

i HATE it when people call our pit lazy, specially cause im in it... AND--its always the drum line!!! but i really dont like it when they go farther than that and criticize me, as a person, cause i play a woodwind instrument, not percussion. i mean its not like i can march with an oboe! not to mention id like to see those brainless people learn to play an instrument that envolves learning fingerings... all they have to do is hit things with sticks! they really tick me off... and they dont seem to see the effort that we put into what we do! almost no body in our band gives us the recongition we deserve, sometimes even our band director. people dont seem to see how hard our job can be at times cry

I've been in the pit for 5 years now. Senior now, I am both the pit and the drumline. We have a small band so all the junk gets shouldered off on me..the lone pit player! I do all the efin work, keep the band in line I AM THE SHADOW FIELD COMMANDER FOR Jubies Sake. And after the other band members see all the crap I DO FOR THEM! They still tell me I AM THE LAZIEST MEMBER THERE IS! Except for the Commander and my drumline who knows my agony. Jesus I DO ALL THIS WORK FOR THE BAND AND THEY STILL RAG ON ME, SAYING YOU DON'T KNOW HARD IT IS! So I counter and tell them they don't know how hard it is! I have marched I am 4'11 and I march for pepband with the largest bass drum out there! And because I DON'T MARCH-mARCH AS THEY SEE IT i don't know Agony! I'd love it if they wouldlet me lay the smack down! Yes I Don't play my acutal part, yes I improvise but my crap come up better than when the wailing trumpet can't play his part right!
Sorry for venting like that butpeople shouldn't be dicks, they need to put themselves in the others shoes.
