"Well I've been on my own for a few years, but in this area in particular about a year," she replied. "I like it here, its the closest I've ever had to being settled down. I would like to be truly settled down someday." She unconciously gave her tail a playful twitch as she really looked at the territory that surrounded them. "I think this will be the place too."
The cave was within sight now, the hill a seeming jumble of rocks from that distance. "Almost there."

Kit liked the sound of that. And the signals she was giving him, though he wasn't sure she realized that she was doing so. He decided to take it as a good omen that she said all this while near what may well end up being his home.
At her indication that the cave was near by, he looked around. He spotted a hill that seemed the best candidate for hiding said cave. It didn't look like much from here, but if she was bothering to show it to him, he was sure it would be much more inviting on the inside.

She picked up the pace again with their goal in sight. "The entrance is acctually on the other side," she explained as they approached what seemed to be an old rockslide. "Not sure what happened here but it all seems stable now." The entrance was a large crack in the smooth surface of the opposite side. Cordi sniffed about just in case worried that something else may have decided to make the cave a home. It seemed though the old scent of bear was still enough to keep others away.
She turned to Kit, "Still clear, why don't you have a look and see what you think?"

Kit stepped around Cordi and walked inside. The cave was much bigger than it looked from the outside, easily big enough for two, with a bit of room to spare. It wasn't breathtaking, like the grove had been, but it had a comfortable, homey feel to it. The sandy dirt of the floor made it more comfortable that bare rock would have been. Most of the floor was above the level of the entryway, meaning that the cave would stay dry in anything short of a flood. There was a worn dip, probably where the bear had slept, that would make an excellent bed with the addition of some soft grasses, though he would have to wait for Spring to get the best materials. With all the thoughts running through his head, it already began to feel like home.
"Perfect." he muttered to himself, for one moment forgetting he was not alone.

Cordi looked over his shoulder, "I take it you like the place?" Then she stepped away quickly after realizing how close she was standing, almost brushing against him.
Her head ducked in embarasment she continued, "Well I'll let you get settled in then... My place isn't hard to find." She scratched a quick map into the sandy floor. "Stop by any time," she invited then edged back outside into the snow...
((poor thing awkward moment for her...))

Kit was disappointed when, suddenly shy, Cordi got ready to leave. He had been looking forward to spending more time with her, having dinner together. He didn't want to push her though, for fear of making her never want to be around him. He had to give her space, and time to get used to having another around. She was used to being a loner, after all.
"Alright." he said. "Same goes for you. My door is always open. Literally." he chuckled, hoping the small joke might help calm her a little.

She laughed. "Well now anytime could always be dinner tonight if you'd like." Ahh that's better, she thought to herself. What was that... Cordi was not used to be shy at all. "Maybe I have been alone too long," she muttered to herself, then bit her lip hoping he hadn't heard that. She smiled at Kit, "I better get going and straighten up my place a little in case you do come by. See you around, Kitsuke," she winked and with another flick of her tail ran off ...

Kit smiled. He'd heard what she had muttered to herself, not that he'd tell her that. Things were looking up in his life. He headed out to gather bedding materials, getting things ready for him to sleep tonight before heading over to her place for dinner.
((sounds good to me. You want to start #2, or should I?))
