I've been killing green dragons, I've been getting charms like every other drop ^_^
Green, Crimson, Gold, Blue (in that order)
Btw Giant rock crabs drop 10 charms at a time.

Shadow Warriors drop a good number of Crimson Charms, too. And they're easy to take down.
