I write in as many genres as I can, but fiction and fantasy are my day to day writing. I write retells of fairy-tales as well.

Hi ! I'm new to this guild - and new to Gaia too- but it's good to see readers/writers with diverse taste. Variety = spice!!
I like to read anything but at the moment I'm into James Joyce and the poet Seamus Heaney. I have a massive Terry Pratchett collection and have been known to turn to trashy detective novels when I get overloaded (my skeleton in the closet). I also just finished an interesting study on female bullying - Queen Bees and Wannabees- it was really insightful.
When I write, its usually short stories with a Poe-ish edge- I like twists and writing about things like phobias and delusions- the mind is an amazingly complex thing.

whatever perks my interest at the moment. I tried my hand at horror in junior high, but that failed miserably. and i mean miserably. sci-fi, fantasy, and parodies are my specialities though. anything that allows me to go nuts, add sarcastic comments in, and overall be as comedic as im allowed is my absolute favorite 3nodding

My personal faveorite is sci-fi/fantasy (I was born with it and was raised with it... what could you expect). I don't really have any limits as to what I will read, though. Okay, there is one. I've never been that big on romance. Never really have liked it and never really will. But, I think I'm best at writing fantasy. My little (big) imagination can run rampent and free 3nodding

I've always been especially fond of fantasy and sci-fi, both for reading and writing. I like every thing from comedy (especially satire) to dark creepy stuff. My favorites in other genres generally tend to be one of those extremes, but I'll read most anything.

I've probably got the strangest taste. I write a lot of action/adventure and drama, but I read a lot of romance and historical fiction. I love war stories.
