I'm thinking of buying an ESP V guitar, cuz I have a Les Paul, but want something metal. I prefer Ibanez, but Like the V. Anyone think I'm making a bad choice?

No, I think you're making an excellent choice. ESP guitars make awesome metal guitars. The only problem is that some ESP's might not have the clean sound you're looking for.

ESP guitars are fine instruments. I'd opt for the RR24 if you were going for a metal looking V, though.

hmmm....interesting.so many great brands...but yeah youre right to get rid of the les paul if ya want something more metal.now most other gibsons make ok metal guitars.but when it comes to what ur lookin for.i would choose either jackson or ibanez, just my opinion,go out to a music store and play a bunch, see what it would feel like to actually play it,instead of hearing from a bunch of people online.

ESP does make great V guitars. You are making a good choice. They are great for metal thanks to there EMG pickups.
