My family got a Wii for Chirstmas too. That thing is bitching heart I doubt we'll ever get Wifi, though, so yeah. No talking to all you peeps on my Wii. Mario Galaxy is like, one of the funnest games I've ever played, I love it xDDDD
That's really the only game I've had a chance to play and actually liked. There's this one we found, though, called the Ninjabread Man or something like that, and it's so cute xDDDDDD

WOOT.
Congratz on the Wii! <33
For games... I don't know. If you're a Zelda buff, there's twilight princess. Other than that, you got the good one. :3
FYI, I think Wii can do wired internet too. So you could like get an ethernet cord from your router to your Wii or something if you can't get Wifi.
I wants your friend code the moment you get it. XD

Super Paper Mario for classic side scrolling goodness with a twist.
WarioWare for when you're hyper and active.
Super Smash Brothers Brawl in the late future to really utilize wifi. Or Mario Strikers too...
Resident Evil 4 if you're really into the genre, though the controls are a little gimmicky and hard to get used to.
I also heard Zack and Wiki is good, but I haven't tried it out.
Pokemon Battle Revolution is a idea if you own either of the ds games.
Zelda as suggested by Shoy if you like the series. It's pretty good. (I played it on gamecube so I have no idea how the wii controls work.)
AND thats about the only good games I can think of for the wii. The rest seems to be shovelware somewhat. As in cheap games that seem half done... ._.; I wish there was more diversity to the game selection...
Hopefully that will come soon. >W>

NO MORE HEROES
'nuff said.
>.>
Trauma Center games look fun, though I've never played it.
If you liked House of the Dead at the arcades 10 years ago, you'll love Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles
Zack and Wiki is supposively AMAZING.
If you have any bit of a fancy for shooters, then a good choice is Metroid Prime 3
Excite Truck is a LOT of fun, so if you like racers, it's a must.
And you should get Wii-Play just for the extra Wii-Mote + Game. I recommend it in the very least. The game isn't good, but atleast it's something with the Wii-mote.
