So, I went to go get a PS3, and it turns out they only had the 40GB (instead of the 80GB, which I wanted). So I got it anyway.
After reading the comparisons, I sorta wish I waited, but not really, cause I still got a PS3. I'm over no BC, because really, I didn't spend $400 on a system to play games I already could without spending the $400.
Please tell me the 40GB model is still good. D:
"OMG!!!MWIFI!!! N 2 MORE USB PORTZ11" is overrated right?
I'll still enjoy my PS3 and be able to have fun online/with home/with little big planet?

Actually the 40GB is somewhat BC compatible, it's just not fully BC capable like the 60GB. You don't need to worry though the 40GB is just as good as any of the other PS3s, actually it seems to be the other Sony advertises the most. smile

Anyways, if BC isn't necessary to your gaming needs, the 40 gig is fine. I know many folk with the 40's and they love them.
If you need game recommendations, I strongly suggest Warhawk and UTIII. I'm looking to get some weekly or Bi-Weekly Guild Matches with those games.

well if you plan to fill yr ps3 up with crap like i am in he process of doin with my 60GB then you should have gone for the 80GB but if not no worries and extra USB slots come in handy only if you are like playing eye of judgement and with yr cam plugged in and chargin yr controller and some other things to take up USB slots but that doesnt matter yr not gonna need all those USB slots at once
