[Personality] Maven is naturally curious and determined to learn and retain all the information he can. Maven places knowledge above all other virtues, but it is closely followed by a sense of family and protectiveness. However, upon his mother's death, and the events that occurred thereafter, Maven became highly independent and introverted. It was only with the help of Seren that Maven came out of his shell and became social and loving again.
[Bio] One clear February day nineteen-ish years ago, Maven Swift was born. From a very early age, Maven's intelligence and ability to quickly comprehend his surroundings was recognized and encouraged by his mother, Vita, whom he had a deep love for. However, Vita died when Maven was rather young, from an outbreak of a paramyxovirus, whose symptoms mirror the common cold but its attack on the respiratory system is, and was, fatal. Maven was then left with his father at the age of 13, who was distant and cold even before Vita's death. Maven turned into a recluse, and any effort he used to put into school, (which Maven deems as utterly useless – who DOESN'T know how the Pythagorean theorem by heart? Why can't middle-schoolers memorize pi to the hundredth digit? And understanding Shakespeare – what a breeze), was completely gone.
Maven met Seren through school, however, and it was her influence on his life that made going to school worthwhile. Ever since graduation, Maven and Seren have been traveling together, town-hopping and looking for a cause to fight for.
[Powers] Maven doesn't have any specialized powers, and so he makes up for it with inventions and training to be proficient with whatever he can.
[Skills] As an inventor, Maven is a great thinker and problem solver. He can quickly analyze situations and come up with battle plans, especially when aided by his inventions, most namely the S.I.G. However, Maven is athletic and talented with most handguns.
[Weaknesses] Maven's lack of magical power and strength make him usually more of a planner then one who would actually be able to carry out a plan and fight.

S.I.G. - Specialized Information Goggles
The SIG is Maven's proudest invention, and one that never leaves his side.. or rather, his head. The SIG has several functions, including an AM/FM transmitter, infrared, X-ray and night vision. The SIG measures specs on people and objects, including estimates of weight and height, material it/they are made of among any energy it can pick up, (useful for being able to judge if they have elemental powers or magic they can tap into). The SIG can be programmed to recognize certain images and even record a specific about of video, audio or data.
The major drawback of the SIG is it's overly complex system, which makes it virtually impossible for anyone but Maven to understand it.
FN Five-seveN
The FN Five-seveN is a semi-automatic pistol, and the ammo Maven generally carries for this can generally kill a normal human, (or anthro) in ordinary clothing, but does little against any magical barriers or thick metallic machinery. This ammo is stored within the small, concealed compartments in his belt.

[Other] Maven is madly in love with Serena, but has long accepted the fact that she isn't and probably will never be interested in him. Since his acceptance, he has made it a point to act as a brother figure to her, and is extremely protective of her just as he once was with his mother.

Despite this, Dawn isn't a complete blockhead. In order to react to her eager nature, Dawn has adapted and became a quick thinker as well.
[Bio] Once Emily had accepted the fact that Super had left her life, Emily ended up dating again. Her now-husband and Dawn's father ended up having children – obviously Dawn being one of them. Youngest of the children, Dawn had to fend for herself or suffer sibling cruelty. Needless to say, she did a good job.
Like almost all other creatures living in their world, Dawn's family suffered from Eggman's tyranny. Raised with a strong distaste for corruption, thought control and evil in general, Dawn has decided to use her natural talents mixed with hard training to work against Dr. Robotnik and any other self-serving b*****d that dare cross her.
[Powers] Dawn can jump incredibly high, a trait inherited from her mother. She is also very fast and strong.
[Skills] Proficiency with blades, both two-handed and one-handed due to a great amount of training.
[Weaknesses] Dawn is rather weak with magic and a little to 'kick-in-the-door-and-beat-the-bad-guys-asses' for a great deal of planning or problem solving. Her temper and impulsiveness commonly get in the way, as well.

Dawn hasn't found a sword she's particularly attached to yet. Currently, she is using a rather basic one-hander by the name of Lithium. The only special trait of this blade is its ability to repel magical attacks, if it's energy is in a collective form (such as a fireball, or something that mimics having mass and volume).

However, Seren makes it a point not to show this about her, feeling like it would make her weak, and because of this has become such a talented actress and liar that half the time she's not even aware when she's pretending anymore.
[Bio] Serena's home life is a plain mess. Her father is anything but a rolemodel and her spineless mother falls under the same category. As the eldest of three, Seren has taken to raising her younger siblings, which started out as being something she had to do rather then something she wanted to do.
Seren tried hard in school and honed her natural gifts, escaping into the world of music and literature as often as possible in order to escape reality. She left home at sixteen, once Maven graduated, and she finished school as Maven worked and invented.
[Powers] Seren has many natural magical gifts, such as a bit of elemental control and higher thought. However, her true gift lies in the manipulation of inanimate objects – levitation, speech and motor contol, among other things.
[Skills] Her side talents are in music, namely euphonium, bass guitar, stand-up bass and piano. She also reads and writes frequently, and is an excellent communicator as well as actress.
[Weaknesses] Seren has very limited physical strength, and is generally short of confidence when using her magic. In addition to this, she doesn't let people know the real her.

Bell of Summoning
Being obsessed with invisibility and flight, Seren ended up pressuring Maven into inventing something that allowed her one or the other. It ended up being the latter. The Bell of Summoning, an enchanted choker which Seren is constantly wearing, allows Seren to stretch the skin inbetween her arms and torso in order glide. This skin, which as it is already lets her glide very short distances, once under the enchantment will stay this way until either the bell is rung again or for a short, allotted amount of time. This invention is Maven's only truly successful attempt at imbuing an item with magical properties.
Roller Shoes
Seren also has shoes that have rollerblades stored inside of them, which spring out upon pressing the black, circle logo on the side of each shoe.

[Other] Seren's main reason for never returning Maven's affection is due to her strong distrust of all men in general, thanks to her father.
Seren is impulsive and has low self-esteem, so she has several high-risk behaviors that are a completely normal part of her life, including smoking and self injury.
