well ppl im fairly new to this guild so hurrah
neways
i thought id put a lil sumthin in for the pit cuz i couldnt find any
neways im not super genius player or sumthin
but im fairly good at it
if u guys have any tips to help meh

and yes imma guy

well i used to play bass
but then i switched to xylophone
and now bells

I'm in pit also. I was in pit for three years then i went to bass line. Now i'm in pit again for the winter. I miss bass drum. crying

I'm learning all mallet percussion in winter drums, but for our show I play bells and chimes. It's really fun. I play clarinet and piano, but this is my first time doing anything with percussion.

i basically play anything. right now i have a xylo part and i'm lovin it. i played vibes for the last show and that was pretty sweet! ok...that is all xd

I'll aslo play anything though I was on timpani this year. I also taugh some of the new people. We had like five people who were new to percussion.

I play pretty much everything in my Pit section except timpani and chimes. Our instructer has us move around soo much. But it's okay cause i can play it all. I'd play chimes or timpani if he let me too...but I love it all! Plus our instructer adds some weird instruments in randomly...we start out with keyboards, timpani, bell set, gong, bass drum, and chimes, but by the time we get around to the end of the season we have like 50 times more instruments then when we got started. And we're like...um how our we going to handle all this equipment? and our instructer's like, 'you figure it out, it's not my job. I just give you the instruments.' it's soo funny when you're actually there though, he's not being mean, but omg it's so fun to watch us run around and get everything set up... rofl

my section leader better hurry up and teach us 4 mallets before he graduates because he's our only senior and the only one who knows how. XD he's soo silly!
