Recently I bought a black balloon molly from the pet shop and added it in my tank with a white molly in it previously. I realized she got pregnant soon after but today she gave birth and the babies came out whitish-blackish well kind of like a light coffee color. So what I am wondering is if they might have cross-bred?

The Urban Elf umm... don't fish breed externally... as in without intercourse? They don't breed externally, they need sperm from male fish in order to breed.

The other day I was at a pet store, I netted a poor little black molly fry who had survived in the tank<3 And today I purchased two baby balloon mollies. I found out that the pet store was making a nursery for the fry which they probably had a million because the guppies tank had like 50 fry in it.
