The redhead nodded when Jan said what she grew, having never really been interested in plants. Well, the normal kind at least. He preferred the tropical ones that ate bugs and were all shades of crazy colours. Now those were neat. Yuki had liked them too, so that was what had spawned his interest. Nowadays it was bugs and reptiles.
Small was good. Maelon listened quietly as Jan listed off the names of the people who were coming. He knew Mignon and Lyrus, and though he didn't know Pell he figured he could leave her welfare up to Jan. If they were an odd number he could do his own thing without them bothering him. "Well... 'd be nice to see Lyrus again. What's Pell like?" He wanted to know what he was getting into.

"Pell? Well, she's a lil' kid, really cheerful and energetic." Jan shrugged. The girl would probably keep them in high spirits. Really, Mignon was the only 'girl' attending. Plus she was a human compass. Pushing off of the bookshelf, she moved to the register area behind Maelon, and scribbled something on the notepad at the counter.
"Think 'bout et, 'n git back to me, alrigh?" She had more to do, and she wasn't going to force him into a decision right now. The girl handed him the scrap of paper, which had her number and name on it.

"A kid?" Urg, Maelon really didn't like kids, especially the happy ones. But if Jan would entertain her, the redhead figured the trip wouldn't be so bad. He would be able to get out of the house, and Pryderi wouldn't be able to harass him into going to the mansion. After what he'd heard about dimension doors on the roof he really didn't want to have to go back there again. Plus he would get to see Lyrus again, something he was slightly looking forward to. But of course, not in a gay. Never in a gay way.
The dark chocolate Sin'aeis nearly bristled when Jan came behind the counter, managing to keep a straight face as she wrote something on the piece of paper. Name and phone number? Oh. Right. He could get back to her. Maelon didn't think a girl had ever give him her phone number before. It sucked that Jan was the first one to do it, seeing as she really didn't count as a girl. Sigh. "Right, I'll let you know soon."

"Much appreciated ef ya do." A quick grin and the girl stretched briefly. "Nice ta meet ya, by the by. 'Ave a great day, Maelon." The strange girl was gone from the building only seconds later.
