Being near perfect against the Patriots (at home), @ Tampa Bay (playoffs), and @ Dallas (playoffs) isn't good enough?

...He's a huge reason they have the momentum they are in at the moment.

Lmao.
For real, how can you even say "He's not good enough"
confused

unless he beat the Pats then he is good enough but I don't really think he is good enough he is not very consistant like Farve(yes I said it) or Brady.

Well Brady was consistent for nearly all his career, and definitely this season.

Favre was very consistent this year, but his last few years in the NFL have been up and down nightmares. Its a pretty nice comeback story to see him and the Packers so far this season. Yet Favre hasn't been too consistent as of recent seasons.

Eli still needs to grow. He wasn't very consistent towards the beginning of the season. But when it was most important (down the stretch of regular season and in the playoffs), he was shown great confidence and has performed very well. His career was up and down, but we still need to see if he can pull more magic off this season. It is also too early to determine if his career is consistent. But he definitely is not "not good enough."

What?...
Unless he beat the pats then he is good enough...
So are you trying to say "if he beats the pats he ISNT good enough?"

What about Peyton Manning youre saying he's not good enough to go to the AFC championship?
Since he didnt beat the Patriots.

Do you guys think Eli if finally stepping out of Peyton's shadow?
I think he really is, he's really showing he has the potential and can, and will.

Not necessarily out of Peyton's shadow, because they run two very different offenses. I say that Eli emerged as himself, and is really stepping up. A QB is usually known for his job in the postseason and Super Bowl, and Eli is doing just that.

Yes, all QBs, including Favre, can learn a lot more. Eli got his Super Bowl ring quicker than Peyton did, career-year wise...

He's definitely emerged as a clear leader and a playoff king.

Well hopefully if the NFL keeps going for a few hundred years, every franchise will be able to get their Super Bowl championship, and "bandwagon jumpers" will be eliminated... smile

But then again, new franchises will be introduced. New teams like the Texans, and old teams like the Yankees or Oilers. Also, the U.S. will only get larger in population, so expect a team in Wyoming or North Dakota pretty soon sweatdrop
