I googled it and there were people saying they got a call from it and it was like mortgage thing of something else telemarket-y.

I think that there's some thing you can sign up for or something and it makes it illegal for telemarketers to call you... however, I find this to be absolutely NO FUN because then you can't prank the hell out of them >.>
I dunno what it is, but it might be useful to look it up...

Yep, telemarketers call cell phones now. You can sign your number up with the do not call registry. https://www.donotcall.gov/But if you want to have fun with the telemarketers and want to mess with their head, then you won't want to sign up. XD
