I've known about Lolita for a while. I'm not sure where I found out about it originally. I had no idea it was a Japanese fashion though. When I saw lolita-ish items in the goth stores, I just assumed it was an offshoot of western goth. Back then, though, I was into Aristocrat. I left that style for a good many years, but now I'm back and it's better than ever.

I don't know why, but I actually just thought about that randomly. I like to think back and how I ended up liking the things that I am into now. For lolita, I think it was introduced to me somewhere along the line with Anime, which i still love. Then it was more into maid, then gothic and then gothic lolita. That's how it worked for me. But I always loved antique and victorian fashions, I found it very romantic and Lolita fit in well with me.

It just kindof happened XD I guess with me
Like I had always seen lolita outfits in certain anime or pictures from japan, thought they were pretty but didn't really think anything of it, until I guess I bought the manga Rozen Maiden and i just found myself drawing and designing new dresses constantly
then when the TP lolita bibles came out i found out where to get dresses. then....3 years later. here i am spending my thursday night on a lolita guild wearing frills.

I've always known about lolita, but I never really got interested into the fashion until fairly recently. I don't remember how I got interested in the fashion--it just sort of happened. Now I'm an avid admirer of the fashion. I don't have any lolita outfits due to my family being on a budget (I know I can get offbrand like Bodyline for cheaper, but I'm not allowed to order anything off the internet. Plus, with me, I have to try something on first to see if it actually fits and looks good on me before I buy it), but once I can get myself a job, I'm going to get myself some awesome dresses and accessories. ^^

I had first heard of EGL at the beginning of my 8th grade year. I was reading my Animerica comic and there was an article on Witch Hunter Robin. They had stated that the basis of fashion in the anime was EGL (though they were slightly off) and I looked up the style online. I instantly fell in love, going back to my childhood watching Alice in Wonderland and wearing frilly dresses at tea parties ~!

I saw it alot on the internet and googled it. I liked it and since I'm naturally child-like, I loved it. ~ Capture your inner beauty. Lolita ~
