I have decided that two of the forums I had have not been used at all. From this decision, I have closed them down.
Do not worry, just because these role plays did not get an posts does not bode ill for the guild in general. I actually intend to let you (the members) decide what role plays should go into them.
Now, I have a few ideas on this. They are as follows:
1. We can categorize the role plays by level. With this idea, we might be able to help people get into a role play that matches their individual role playing skills. There are a few drawbacks to this idea however: How will we determine the skill level of a role play? Some people might be offended if they have been recommended to go to a lower level role play.
2. We can place two new role plays (one in each empty forum) that will be allowed to expand and grow into several threads. This option will allow some role plays that are too limited by being in one thread to expand and become a world of its own. Once again there are problems with this idea as well: What role plays will make the cut? Once they are chosen, when do we decide to end them, if we ever do? If they start to get weak, how would we change them?
3. We can have different categories for the role plays. This would make things easier to find. An example would be if you love fantasy role plays, then you could just go to the fantasy/Sci-fi forum and start looking. The bad part would be for the role plays that don't seem to fall under any particular category, and we only have two open forums at this time.

If you go with idea 2, please post your opinion on the two role plays you wish to see in a forum of its own.
Before I move anything though, I will be getting the permission of the threads owner. If for nothing else than to see where they think their role play will go and to see if they feel that they need the extra room of a forum.
This also goes in reverse. Before any forum is cleared (if the role plays doesn't make it), then I will be getting the permission of the threads owner to remove/demote it back to the free role play forum.
I thank you for your opinion in this matter. As members, you all have a say in this matter. This guild is as much yours as it is mine.

For the first idea, instead of having three levels, we have two levels. One that should be easier and the other to have more of a difficulty. The ones with more difficulty probaly have more rules, are a differnt type, ask for specific things such as pre-made profiles or atleast three sentences per post. Or something.
For the second idea, having one world with one guild is a pain. Having one world in one sub-forum is going to be a condensed pain of painfullness. Having two is just multiplying it by two.
For the third idea, we would need more sub-forums and as you said, some rps just don't fall into any category. A few might make a mistake. The rp can take a turn into a differnt genre.

Well, though it looks set up, I am still waiting on more opinions/votes to make a decision by. I just started setting the open forums up for what seems to be the most popular idea so far.
In other words... PLEASE VOTE! Your opinion does count, and a single vote can change the tide in this one.

I think that it should be organized into different sections according to what types, not as in genres though.
I think it should have something in organization due to the profile forum being so unorganized in a way. Should someone make a thread for every character they make in a long post or something? I think the organization could go like this in a way. If I confuse you, please let me know.
One forum would be:
Stories/Profiles
And the other would be:
Roleplay threads
If you need this clarified, go right ahead and let me know. I think I confused myself too.

Oh goodness, it's been a while since I've posted anything in the profile sub-forum. That part just doesn't make sense to me anymore when we can just have the profiles on one page, on the rp page. Differnt rps sometimes need differnt characters. You can't use one character over and over again for more then one type of rp. (Okay, maybe you can. But a lot of the times, you might not be able to.)
So what's the point of the profile sub-forum?

I think the idea 1 is good for those who are learning to play and for how create Rps, can be good also to look at our performance and know how we are progressing. We can take the example of the Rp in the higher level to improve the low level and become better.
For the organization, i Like the Idea that Tesunie can create a Topic and put ALL the RPs Links for easy find, and he can put categories in the Topic to make organized.

For Yo-It--=Shad=- and Briannas_Servant: The profile forum was for people to just record their characters some place, letting them and their fellow players look over and refer to their characters. Each person is intended to have one thread each, not a tread per character. Then they might place links to their profile thread if asked about their character. I also have not looked in that thread for a while, and there is a way to reorganize that thread if needed. We could change the system so that when a new role play has been made, then the owner of the profile would make a thread in the profile forum for any and all participants to post their profiles, if so desired. Then a link could be placed somewhere in the role play thread to where all the profiles are.
@ Eaky: Sure, I see how it goes. You will force ME to make these links. gonk Well, I guess I should be doing something for the guild though. lol 3nodding

Another guild I'm in has a sort of idea-one thing going on. A person creates the roleplay in the main forum, then the mods move it to the appropriately leveled sub-forum.
It kind of sucks, I'm not going to lie.
Of course, what you're describing sounds like that wouldn't be going on here--all the endless moving of topics and whatnot.
Therein lies the problem of thread-creators having to decide for themselves what level their roleplay is. Unless you gave criteria saying "okay, this is what makes an advanced roleplay," people would misplace their threads, and even then, some that aren't quite "good enough" to be an advanced roleplay might be made there, just because the creator thought that was where it belonged. Of course, the mods could periodically check to see if any threads are misplaced and remedy the situation....
But there. That's my two cents' worth.

Well, I would have the first thread (a sticky to keep it on top) say what is expected from any role play in those forums.
An advanced role play would consist mostly in the quality of the expected posts. essentially, it would be looking for players that do more than a single line post, uses proper grammar and has depthness to the characters (and story).
The basic one would be for anyone, at any level. One line posts and lesser uses of grammar would be expected from these, as people learn the ropes a little more. These * would be more excepted for actions with these, but still discouraged.
That is what I was thinking. If anyone had any other opinions or thoughts on this or anything else, then you can post them as well. ninja
