a few pieces to welcome the new year:

these were done for the fashion thread over in my guild. a great way for us to practice and hone our skills while keeping in touch with one another. since the guild is mostly comprised of friends it's one of the ways we can stay in contact...and also a place to hang out when hoon's mess studio went down a while back.

have a few more wips lurking about, but not really anything much to warrant posting. been busy with work and getting over this flu.

photoshop for these. used some textures from cgtextures and a few from kirby's own texture library.

I was discussing the matter of your style with a cohort not a week ago.

These pictures confirm what I said - Most of the misgivings that I have had in the past have been worked out. I really think that you've matured your style hand-in-hand with your technique and I am very happy to see that.

Wow. Very cute, but very different. I like you take on sexy-vamp in the second one. I think her hair might need something to pop it out from the background, just a smidge, but other than that it is wonderful.

so sometimes i like to make things:

my latest needle felting experiment. the white bunny was the first that i made last night, and the black i made today to accompany the other.

these were my first needle felting projects. i bought a book on making little felted pastries and it seemed like a fun thing to get into. it's almost therapeutic to stab pieces of wool roving but also kind of scary because of the threat of accidentally stabbing yourself. anyhoo, some random cookies, a slice of cake, and a round ball that i made for practice.

my knitted stuffy and the felt bunnies. knitting is something i love to do on my free time, and the needles aren't so dangerous, heh. the pattern isn't mine. this little guy was fun to make and really easy to do. he's very squishy and he's the bday present for my friend, since she made me a stuffed bunny.

here they are altogether...having some sort of weird tea party.
