Has anyone seen this anime? (don't worry I'm going to move this topic to special interest after people have a chance to see it) In case you haven't let me just fill you in.
Lain is a 13 episode anime about a junior high girl (Lain) who starts using the "wire", their version of the internet. THe wire is connected to the real world, so anywhere you can go in the real world you can go in the wire. Anyhoo, she finds that there is supposedly a god in the wire and that all humans are subconsciously connected on the same frequency,s oshe learns to manipulate the wire and starts changing things in the real world, then..... welll, I won't spoil it.
The whole thing centers around the idea that if you don't remember something happening, then it never happened at all. And if a person isn't remembered by anyone, then they never existed. Its deep stuff. There are a lot of subpoints to it too. The whole series is confusing, especially the first time, but each time I watch part of it, I pick on more and more subtleties. Besides, the art is amazing. The animator's name is Yoshitoshi. I reccomend this anime if your into anime, manga, art, technology, or philosophy. The drawback is that it isn't well known and is hard to find. If anyone has seen it, let me know I'd be glad to have someone to discuss it with.

Eh, yeah I checked it out. My dad and I were going to rent the dvds one by one and watch the anime together, but after the first couple of episodes I couldn't take it anymore. It was way too confusing and very boring, there were too many parts where absolutly nothing was happening, but my dad kept watching it, so I at least was able to see the most exciting parts of the middle and the very end episode.
I really like the art too, but as I said, it wasn't enough to make up for the entire series.
