The best thing is when you keep dying over and over playing RE on a hard setting. Its like 3 in the morning. Your used up everything in your arsenal, and only have a handgun or knife and you finally take out that one pain in the but boss.
or.
When you play through a RE game without saving and beating it without the system turning off or something.

The wonderful sound of line of zombies' heads exploding with a well placed magnum blast when they are in a narrow corridor, and the joy of watching 2/3 of them drop instantly, while the other 1/3 keep walking until finally collapsing after three steps.

When fighting G-Mutation 2, you beat him down just right before he drops, he'll start moving much, much slower. It's fun to see him limping around, trying to catch you.

when you fight the guy who turns into a centipede type thing in RE4 and you need his eye..( I can't remember his name to save my life right now!) but if you attack him with an RPG you can kill him quickly enough that his dismembered legs will still be standing...you can actually have enough time to do a victory lap around them..ha. xd
