Satu grinned broadly. "I'd like that!" he said happily.
Satu then picked up his own violin. "Have you mastered your scales or not Minori?" he asked kindly. He wanted to know at what level he was dealing from so he could help her as much as possible. This was what the music club did after all!

"That was..." A pause. "Very long time ago." Minori had learnt the violin when she was young, before she set off for Austrailia, and never continued ever since. She had gotten too busy with practising the piano (her mother insisted she learn it) and ballet, and school...and her life. "Well, you could always teach me again."

Satu grinned and brought his violin up to his chin. "Well we'll start on those then shall we? Scales are always the most basic thing that you need to learn so it would be best to reteach you the scales first." he said as he smiled kindly, raising the bow up to the strings. "Just copy what I do" he said, smiling, as he played the first note, it warmth filling the room. The same giddy feeling came over him as he started playing. It felt like he was home now, home in Europe.

"Yes, Sensei." She said, putting a mock serious look on her face, then replaced it with a grin. Brown eyes watched his fingers carefully, racking her brain, trying to remember. Taking in a deep breath, she lifted the bow and imitated him.
Well, that wasn't so bad. At least...it sounded musical.

Satu smiled as he played out the scale with ease. He didn't have to think about scales he knew them so well at this point. It was strange to realize that people had to learn how to play scales. Satu couldn't remember not knowing them at this point in his life.
He listened carefully to what Minori played. It wasn't bad. It wasn't amazingly fantastic but it certainly wasn't bad. When she finished imitating him he dropped his violin from him chin. "Good" he said with a smile. "Your second finger is slightly too far down the string though. It's making those notes slightly sharp." he said smiling. "It's not a big deal though and very easily fixable" he said with a determined nod.

Experience often made people forget the basics, she knew. It was the same with piano, same with ballet. Once you gained experience, the simpler things were often taken for granted.
"Ahh, I see. So that's what was wrong. What do you mean by far though?" She asked. There was so much to learn, but she was determined to. Not only for herself, but to prove to her mother. Prove that she could handle it. She wasn't a little girl anymore.

Satu walked over to her placing his long elegent fingers on her second. "You see the way your finger is here." he said smiling and then moved the finger back towards her every so slightly. "Now try it again. Hopefully it should be in tune now!" he said with a grin. He would have let her try herself but it was much easier to teach by showing her.---------------- Now playing: Barenaked Ladies - Falling For The First Timevia FoxyTunes
