"Who's a precious little ugly munchkin?" Iamels voice, oddly sugar-sweet, was making his daughter squirm. She was clinging to his sweater, bundled up in her own winter gear. Her father wore a bright yellow parka with a fluff of feathers around the hoodie, sunglasses perched on his long nose. He was grinning and Dee, as a result, was feeling rather... joyous.
The air was crisp and clear, the chill of the snow and winter nipping at her dark skin. Her clothing - a scarf with ear muffs, a thick sweater and a woolen skirt - was heavy and comfortable on her slight frame, keeping the warmth cuddled up inside her.
Dee flexed her fingers, all four lengths tugging at his parka - it illicited a smile from the winged man. He was silly; she liked him. It was too bad he was so lonely.
"That's right!" He said in words she didn't understand, in a tone she had only heard used with the very young or the very stupid. "Dee-" It was her name, she knew that, "-Is my precious ugly munchkin! You ever felt snow before, kiddlet?"
All she knew was she liked this place, this park. It was clean and cool. She liked it.

Under a tree, a ways ahead, sat a woman. Her hair, in a ridulously huge silver pompadour, made her look very obvious against the tree, despite her other attire. A thick turtlenecked black sweater was all the visibly seemed to cover her upper half, but she didn't seem too cold. As for her legs, just a pair of worn blue jeans. Honestly, where most people would be freezing, Dartsmoore didn't feel so bad. She wasn't the type who liked the cold but she was pretty used to it.
With this strange woman, were two baby boys. One of the two had ruby red hair, that was currentently cornrowed back with small beaded brains hanging from the back, where the cornrows ended. He wore a light sweater like Dartie and a pair of jeans as well. This boy was taking to the snow, like a fish to water, playing with it happily and apparently building small snow piles just to bash them down.
The second boy was way more bundled up then either his guardian or sibling. An eskimo coat of sorts with white feathers lining the hood, was obscuring most of his face, save for a pale white button nose. His hands were covered in gloves that barely reached beyond the sleeves of his jacket, and both the pants and the boots he wore were much thicker then those that Dartsmoore wore. He sat lazily on her lap, head upon the woman's stomach, staring out at the snow.
Bailey had never seen snow before. Where he'd been living, the climate was almost always warm. And if it ever wasn't, he slept all down. Now he was with these two, and wondering just how people lived in weather like this. Kahlua seemed to utterly love it. Crazy boy. Couldn't he tell that it was freezing? The silver and white snake-boy had deemed Dartsmoore as odd, but tolerable. Kahlua on the other hand, he was nuts.

"And look there, my little troll," Iamel hummed, tucking the little alien closer to his chest, "Someone was as crazy as we are today. They're out and about in this cold! What do you think about that?"
She twitched at the question in his tone, looking up with those glittering cat-eyes that made the taller male smile. Dee had to stop herself from gnawing at her lower lip, as she had always been prone to, or chewing on her fingernailless fingers; she would end up chewing off her own fingers. Instead, her lips pulled into a quiet quarter moon, the second of her four fingers moving to point at the other toddlers and the woman.
Iamel laughed and sped up a bit, striding towards the female and her spawn. "Hey!" He called out, tossing Dee into the air as he walked. She let out a small squeak before being caught in bony hands and Dee caught a glimpse of her fathers wide grin.
"You guys want any company? My alien is getting bored of me."

The trio on the ground glanced up. The pink cheeked redhead gave this tall man and his baby a few moment's glance before turning back to playing with the snow.
Dartsmoore and Bailey, however, remained attentive. "If you don't mind being in the couple of four aliens instead of one, then sure." she commented calmly, reaching out one leather gloved hand to pat Kahlua on his cornrowed head.
Bailey felt very odd now. Why did all of these weird people want to be out in this weather? It was cold and yucky! Dartie was odd and Kahlua was crazy but these were people he didn't know and here they were! Honestly, did no one appriciate warmth?
His thoughts were interupted when he was forcibly moved. Dartie had picked him up with her one arm while she used her other to press against the tree and stand. The baby was used to being carried like this but still, it could be surprising at times.
After cracking her neck and shaking her limbs a little, Dartsmoore turned to introduce herself to the man. She was short and her oversized hair caused her to have to look at him out of only one eye. If she turned full on to face the newcomers, she end up whacking them with it and they'd get stuck in a pocket dimension. Not a pleasant way to be introduced.
"I'm Dartsmoore, the grumpy puffball is Bailey and the one on the ground is Kahlua. You two would be...?"

"I don't really care 'bout aliens. My grumpy-butt of a brother is one too. Apparently, he led a rebellion." Only a god of death could sound so pleased at the idea of someone close to him leading a rebellion that meant nothing to the bird. Iamel grinned, his wings fluffing up just a bit behind him. "I'm Iamel, though. Resident non-alien. This cheerful little brat is Deidre Dominque Rae. We call her DDR for short."
The dark skinned girl was held out by the end of her fathers arms, dangling helplessly from his grasp. She made another soft noise, a squeak, and started to curl herself inward like a snail. The 'grumpy puffball' was too.. too... he was grumpy. DDR didn't much like grumpy. It was a bit too offsetting.
"Nice t'meet y'all. So why're you out in the cold like this?"
Had Dee knew what the question was, she would have told them why SHE was there. She had been forced to be there. She liked the warmth of their treehouse and of her fathers chest; the cold air hitting her from all around now was not a pleasent one. This sort of n**, she did not like.
Still, she dared a glance up at the grumpy boy. And.
She squeaked.

The woman nodded in slight approval of the introduction. The bit about his brother leading a rebellion sounded interesting. Dartsmoore was partly in charge of a rebel group herself. This guy seemed interesting, though his keep didn't seem to be enjoying herself.
"Ah. We're out here because Kahlua likes the snow. He's a reborn god of ice from my home galaxy, and Bailey here's a shruken alien crimminal that's of a snake-like race. So one loves cold, and ones hates it. I could care less but I have to take Kahlua out to play in the snow on days like this or he gets stubborn and whiney." she said, glancing again at the cornrowed boy.
Bailey stared at the funny looking girl. It made him glad. Glad that Dartsmoore didn't hold him out like that, that is. She at least kept him neatly on her hip or on her lap most of the time. This girl was odd. She squeaked a lot.
Bailey's slightly forked tongue poked out a bit and he made a slight hiss. Though the coat muffled it, so it came out sounding like "htthp." At which point he realized there were feathers in his mouth and spit them out.
"That's why you don't try to hiss through your coat, doofus." Dartie told him, looking down at the baby.

"God of Ice? Sweet, kid." Iamel leaned down, Dee getting tucked under his arm. "My first crush was the gaurdian of freezing to death. You're cool in my book." The god of ice got a little wriggle of fingers and Iamel, abruptly, looked back at the shrunken alien kid.
"Shrunken alien? No kiddin'? So's Dee. She looked more human then she does now, though. She was kind of hot. Now she's... Dee." He grined, the expression crooked, and Dee almost whined. She knew that tone - and she knew her name.
The quiet girl paused at the muffled hiss, turned her head slightly to stare at Bailey with one large green eye. Hissing was odd - she had rarely heard such noises before. It didn't come off as threatening to the miniature alien and her hand, awkward and four-fingered, rose up to flex in a faint version of a greeting towards the reptilian boy.
"She doesn't talk much, though. Makes a bunch of noises but never tries to actually MAKE noise. And she likes the cold. A little bit." Dee raised her eyes to Baileys face again, frame shifting in a quiet squirm against her father. "They should be friends. It isn't every day you meet bratties who commited some sort of horrible crime like you!"

Kahlua looked up at Iamel and waved one snow cover hand happily. Dartie grinned and leaned down to pick him up.
"Bailey pretty much looks exactly like he used to. Only with better hair now." the silver haired woman laughed. "And he can vaguely say some words and sometimes hisses"
Bailey waved his hand back at Dee. The hand was covered by a thick black glove. Another slight hiss attempt was made in her direciton, a friendlier one. He didn't like being out but at least her could be sorta polite.
