Sup. Just got accepted and in case you don't read usernames, I'm Made-By-Jazz. Ya'll can call me Jazz.
I absolutely love Obama because
1.) He understands that right now, America isn't this huge equality-bound 'land of oppurtunity' that my textbooks say. Everyone doesn't have equal oppurtunities. It's about social class. Hilary pretended she did but sh's just like most other politicians: they don't understand why everyone's not gettin into a range rover and going to the country club for their friends.
2.)Hopefully, no more huge tax breaks for the CEO's and bazillionaire corporations. There's a statistic out that says 1% of the population controls 40% of the wealth in America.
3.)He's not afraid to talk to the enemy. I may be 13 but IO read the news. I think I'm livin in a country where the foreign policy would rather have war than make international progress.
4.)He's like MLK, Malcom, Abe L., etc. He knows he's risking his life. I think he must be doing something really good for America for that reason alone.

2 corrections: 1)the richest 10% in America own 80% of the wealth (even worse, huh?) 2)Good ol' Honest Abe wasn't so honest. Many believe that the Northern Union was antiracism when in fact while many Northerners did not agree with slavery they still thought less of blacks and looked down on them. The only real reason Lincoln passed the Amancipation Proclamation was because he saw an oppertunity. Slaves in the South were full of anger for their masters and so Abe believed that by provoking black slaves to gain 'freedom' the slaves would revolt killing the masters and joining the fight on the side of the North helping them win and regain control of the South. He was more worried about keeping control of the land then anything else. Notice even after the war blacks still weren't free.

I'm Tammi. I like a lot of what Obama has to say, and I think he'll be better for the country right now. Plus, one of my Gaia friends wouldn't shut up about John McCain, so I thought I'd stick it in his eye a bit and join an Obama guild. razz

Everything Obama's ever said in a speech is on how to make this country a better place and how he would do so if he were to become president. McCain and Palin have absolutely nothing new to offer America, so they just go on Obama-attack mode. The Republicans reeeeally messed up this time with their ticket. mrgreen
