anyone else out there like these guys?
they did a lot of good songs - many were funny, such as "cover of the rolling stone," "freakin at the freakers ball," "i call that true love," and "makin it natural." they also have a talent for sad songs - "sylvia's mother," "carry me, carrie," and "you ain't got the right" are all excellent sad songs.
interesting fact: many of their lyrics were written by shel silverstien. yes, the same guy who did the children's poems. he also wrote johnny cash's "boy named sue." but listen to some of the song's he wrote for dr. hook - it'll really show you his talents - he ranges from humorous situations to sad stuff to uplifting...to his books of children's poems. truly a talented writer
