Well I have to say that he is definitely not what I imagined Edward would look like but this doesn't count for much. I see the positive of choosing him as well as the negative. For me anyways. I understand that there probably isn't anyone on this whole planet that actually looks like Edward, as he is described to be anyways. Inhumanely beautiful remember? I'm not fond of the way Robert Pattison looks at all BUT, he can act. If he pulls it off, I believe alot of the angry fans (myself included) won't remember why we were arguing about how he looks. As well, apparently him and Kristin have chemistry, which is also another big part in the whole scheme of things. So to this whole thing I've come to the conclusion, that we can't change it, might as well live with it and wait for the movie to come out so we can go see whether or not we have to send emails to the creators asking them why they have ruined such a great work of writing. lol I hope my input on the matter has helped a bit because I sympathize on all sides. biggrin

pplz need to CALM DOWN!!
if you've seen the official pics of the movie you can tell that robert pattinson does a great job as edward. he doesn't look or act like some random guy or cedric diggory. HE LOOKS GREAT!!!!

MysticKoi lol you know i was getting quite anger with everyone here, but then i stopped and thought about it. Most of you are Edward Fangirls. Me? I like edward but i'm a Jacob Lady thats probably why i'm not flippin' out about casting. *shrug* I tried to help you out for what coming and help you prepare(sp) yourselves. But i guess you can't save people that don't want to be saved. LOL, I'm a Jacob fan girl too. I think Robert Pattinson will be fine.

robert is a cute guy but he not a good edward. my beef is they had guy who they had up for emmet they claim was to old. yet robert the same age as th guy they had for emmet and ed suppose to be younger. but the guy they have for emmet is pretty hot. lol alot hotter then edward. then again i never really like ed in the first place but i like him more then the evil b***h roseline. also robert kept his accent. -_- ed is from illinois not britain. i have fam fron the state and the area ed once lived. he could have tried to lose the accent but he didn't even try

Lunar Cookie I feel so sorry for Robert. So many people hate him as Edward in my school. I know, right? He wasn't my pick, but he's grown on me. Though I think he's better looking as Edward than how he looks when he's not playing Edward. I lieks me clean shaven fellows. Some guys can pull off a little stubble, but he makes me want to hand him a razor and some shaving cream.

My problem was I thought they should have gone more pretty boy-ish. In my opinion Robert is rather ugly but I know a lot of girls disagree but I still think they could have made a better choice look wise.
