I only play in Bass cleft. Sorry, my section leader could play in trebel but he never did on a regular bases. Have you ever noticed in jewlry they only have trebel clef never base?

i know how to read treble clef but never played in it just always played my trombone in bass clef

One Trombonist who can read and play all three clefs is talented indeed. And, yes, most Trombone music in Tenor Clef is old music. That being said, most trombone players play Tenor Trombone. Go You! biggrin

i usually play in bass... i use tenor clef on occasion but i dont really need it for anything... i just learned it for fun.... treble i can kind of read, but it always confuses me because i never know if i just play the notes, or if i have to transpose into a different key, and if i have to transpose into a different key, do i just change the key signature or the notes themselves.... im way to lazy for all of that

I don't even think the people we have even know about tenor clef...O_o I think they always read and play in bass clef... xp

x0-Pascal-0x Tenor clef is commonly written for Viola parts, I believe. It's pretty odd that they would make you read it for trombone. You must be playing really old music? Hm...I'm probably wrong but...I thought alto clef was used for viola parts...? xp
