Has anyone read the book Stargirl? If you have not, basically its a love story about a boy who falls in love with a girl named Stargirl. Stargirl basically is in her own world, and she's kind of wierd, but she's extremely nice, but different. In a way, whenever I read about her I thought Luna Lovegood! Am I just crazy, or are they a lot alike?

Yes, yes, and more yes. The similarities are insane! I loved that book, I haven't read it in years. Do you think that's where JK got her inspiration for Luna?

I don't know, it would be interesting if she did though! If she didn't realize it, I wonder what it would be like if she read the book.

I haven't read it, but it sounds very interesting since I'm a sucker for romance. Who's the author?

I forget the author's name. It is so weird though because I read Stargirl and the HP books in 5th grade. That is funny. I wonder if they are cousins or something.

The author is Jerry Spinelli. I never compared Stargirl to Luna before. But now that I do, the resemblence is amazing!

I read Stargirl as a kid, so as soon as we were introduced to Luna in the books I immediately thought of her. That's what made me love Luna's character in the first place! I'm glad I'm not the only one who has thought so all this time. 8D
