Our old uniforms used to be like that. There were like five or six different pieces. We had two sets of cords (one for each shoulder) a cummerbund, ruffles, the jacket and pants, and the hat. i'm sure there was more but i don't know. we got new uniforms my freshman year, so i never had to wear the crazy multi piece uniforms.

OUr uniforms have a crazy amount of buttons. People usually have to ask for help with the three shoulder ones.
What's really funny is if you ask a band student how many buttons they have, and they allways go through the motions of suiting up. I've done it.
What we do have fun with are the neck clasps. They are so tight. We always joke, "Best way to choke a band nerd" than patromine hooking the neck clasp.

Oh, people are forever asking for help getting dressed in the band room. OUr uniforms aren't too bad, just pants w/ suspenders and then a jacket and hat. But there's a ton of hidden buttons, and all in weird places.
The clarinets are the hookers in our band. They each have their own corner around town. biggrin

oOkuro-okamiOo Ok so i wanna know if anybody is as crazy as us. in my band we have lots of buttons and hooks to do up on our uniform. when we ask sumone to help us we say "wanna be my hooker?" we have fun with that. so anybody say that or do sumthin crazy like us? i'd love to know!!! biggrin We do EXACTLY that. We have a hook on the collar and everyone always calls for hookers or offers to be hookers. On a side note (no pun intended. haha), we also have "pinkie sex" before the game, as good luck (it's okay, with the gloves, we're "protected" - or at least, that's what the trumpets claim). So obviously, my band is at least as crazy as yours. I love them anyway.

Ours are sweet because we have flowy capes on the left side of our backs, and every time we pivot sharply the capes whoosh around us. xp
The closest thing we have to weird dressing rituals is when all the guys feel they have to strip down to their boxers and run around the band room before getting into their uniforms. (It's called "Nakey Time". >_>) Needless to say, the band director doesn't like it too much.

we have a pair of generic shorts and a shirt that are black (they have our logo on them) that go under our bibs, which are basically overalls with no buttons and just a long zipper in the front. Over that we have our jackets, which zip up in the back and we have small shoulder flaps that we call 'wings'. We also have out hats, with black plumes. Our jacket has a gold filled in check mark and our hat has a golden triangle on the top. Hat boxes, of course, and shoes (black Mxb? mbx? something like that). We wear our uniforms once it cools down enough to (3-5th football game) and then its like we never get out of them (contests, games, every weekend)
Ours is extremely easy. heh.

Our uniforms are near fifteen years old, I think. Kinda crazy to stick some of our tiny Junior High kids in these big billowy things. Needless to say, there's a lot of pinning to be done xP. And hemming and such. =Quarter Master=
Lesse.. We have suspender pants (black) and jackets with a mid-fold... the toughest part is the buttons for the collar and such. several hooks that people have problems with, especially for those with neck straps. Then of course we have our band shirts under it (T-shirt for games where we wear uniforms, Polos for those games that it's raining or something and we only wear jeans), then there's the details: Citation chords, our.. kind of.. Australian cowboy hat things with plumes (always forgetting those danged plumes..), and our shoes :3. Yay marching shoes!
Then there's bags, shoe boxes, hat boxes.. all the grievances, you know.
