1. have a balanced air stream. [lots of air]
2. correct posture.
3. or ... sometimes, what helps is bringin the oboe a lil lower than wear u normally hold it which should be 45 degrees.

Make sure your corners are tight and you use more air.

sit up straight and make sure you have good posture. Also make sure you push a lot of air through, have a balance stream of air, open throat (an open throat feels like your yawning) and make sure you have the right fingering.

First, make sure you've soaked the reed and everything.
Make sure you have good posture and sit up straight and on the edge of the chair.
Take a deep breath and make sure you use ALOT of air.
Make sure you don't have TOO much reed in your mouth.
Tighten the corners of your lips also help.
Also make sure you practice or warm-up to make sure you have a reasonable pitch. (:

Blow more air and have ur mouth tighter around the reed. I dunno. It works 4 me. I have trouble getting the low notes out.

Arch the back of your tongue - it makes the air flow faster without needing to force more of it out. Don't tighten your throat, just arch the tongue. Ask a singer to explain the mechanics of changing pitch and apply it to oboe. Also, make sure your instrument is in good condition. If you haven't had it into the repair shop in more than a year, it's time to send it in again.

Warm up first
take in LOTS of air
don't put a lot of reed in your mouth (use a broken-in reed)
correct posture
(it helps me if I lower my oboe a little bit more than normal ^__^)
tighten your embassure
blow a steady stream of air

Good luck on reaching high notes! smile
