Nereida opened her eyes. They were the most beautiful eyes Verona has ever see. They look like they were little tiny pure droplets of water...
Verona walked over to her, and got down on the floor. "Nereida... I'm Verona.... I'm going to take care of you... " Verona gave her the most warm smile she could conjure.
Upon seeing the smile, she smiled. Instantly, she trusted this woman. She could tell that she was full of warmth. Nereida nodded, she is a quiet one.

A little later~
Verona and Nereida were playing in the water. She was so cute... Verona was teaching her how to play... ... but, when she got too excited, it got so foggy, she could cut it with a knife.
Then Nereida would panic and the fog would go away. Then she would giggle seeing Verona again and splash more in the water. They ran around and played. Nereida said very very few words...

After awhile, Verona took Nereida out into deeper water. Of course she was scared. Scared that she would drown.
Verona laughed when Nereida clung to her neck. But she took her out, and laid on her back in the water, floating. Nereida sat down on her tummy and giggle/shrieked. They were floating! Actually floating on the water!
"Mommyyyyy!!!.... " Nereida clapped her hands hysterically.
Veorna had enough trouble keeping them float and trying not to laugh. "You're so cute!"

She was simply being adventurous in trying to return to this mysterious village. She wanders down to the lake and notices activity in the water. At first, assumed it was someone drowning. But as she neared, she saw that it was Verona and Nereida playing... She smiled happily and calmed down with each step. When she reached the waters edge, she called out to them, "A little cold in there, don't you think?"

When she reached the waters edge, she called out to them, "A little cold in there, don't you think?" Verona smiled and breathlessly spoke. "It's extremely cold... but, the little one needs to learn to play in the water!" Verona laughed and gasped a bit as she looked down to see Nereida at her legs. She was suspesiously watching Helina. She had blue hair... And she was blonde... she's never see someone with hair the color of the sun and the water. She hid behind Verona's legs and blushed shyly. As this happened, it started to get alittle foggy around Verona and her.

Helina giggled softly and crossed her arms at her chest, hiding her hands under her arms in an attempt to stay warm. She smiled at Nereida and spot sweetly, "Hello, Nereida! I don't suppose you would remember me... My name is Helina, and I'm your mommy's good friend." She couldn't help but to smile wider at seeing the fog appear; the child knew how to tap into her powers... that is a good defense.

I don't suppose you would remember me... My name is Helina, and I'm your mommy's good friend." She couldn't help but to smile wider at seeing the fog appear; the child knew how to tap into her powers... that is a good defense.
Nereida's cheeks turned red a bit, and she shoved her face into Verona's neck to hid from the beautiful woman. She was incrediably shy. ((As you can tell. sweatdrop ))

Verona stayed home with her little one for a couple of days, there was no sign of anything. It seemed that even the birds she talked to had left for something. It would be quite lonely if Nereida wasn't there to entertain her. She did the funniest things. She would stare for hours out the window and just wait. Then she would laugh hysterically realizing that she fogged up the windows. She learned to draw on the fog with her finger, wipe it away, fog the windows up again, and do the process over.
"Nereida, would you like to go out and... play in the snow? " Verona felt guilty for having Nereida coped up in the house with no one to play with. It was too cold, or she was to busy to take her out.
"Na-uh... " Nereida shook her head. She was happy where she was. Plus, if they went outside, she was afraid that she would freeze like an ice cube. Already her nose got real cold, so cold that she couldn't even feel it. Then mommy got it warm again by taking her inside and drinking sweet tea. Nereida just wanted the tea, without the cold winter.
