A lovely sprite with lavender skin and deep purple hair sat upon a log diligently braiding her long locks. Her small white wings fluttered as she hummed to herself a tune she has heard long ago. The sun was bright and warmed her pleasantly as a chill breeze toyed with her precariously positioned braids. The grass here was long and sparse trees littered the field.

Sanctimonia was fluttering around, hair floating in the breeze, when she spotted something. It was another Sprite! How wonderful! Now she would be able to spend her time with something other than the trees and grass.
She started to float down to this purple-haired Sprite when she thought of something. She didn't have a gift to bring! How rude would that be? San quickly looked around and spotted something that caught her eye. She saw a flower that was quite beautiful, but she couldn't bring the whole flower, that would just be suicide. It's way too big. She flew over to the flower and pulled off a petal. The purple Sprite could use it as a hat!
With her beautiful yellow flower petal in her hands, she floated over to the other Sprite and introduced herself. "Hello miss! I am Sanctimonia. I have come to introduce myself and make a friend!" She handed the yellow flower petal over to the Sprite and waited for a response.

Iolaus was walking about very slowly, his eyes half open, enjoying the breeze and mentally encouraging it's toying with his flowing blue hair and his tiny blue wings. He liked the feeling, as though they were being stroked. Breezes made him feel so calm.... He suddenly spotted two other sprites nearby, and his eyes opened all the way. Here were two others, and they seemed friendly enough. He smiled and began to walk calmly toward them.

Calista blinked, having finished her braids. She looked up to see another female sprite. She blinked again, wondering how long she'd been there. "Oh my, I hope I was not rude... I get wrapped up in things sometimes... Oh!" She looked at the petal in Sanctimonia's hands and smiled. "Why, that would compliment my hair quite nicely! How thoughtful! But I have nothing to give in return!" She pondered a moment. "I will find you something lovely, miss Sanctimonia, you will see!" She fluttered off in a rush, searching amongst the trees for something special. It finally caught her eye. She was sure she'd seen it earlier and carried it as carefully as she could back to where she had left the other sprite. Another one had joined them, and she smiled at him as well. Turning to the female she offered her gift- a robin's egg shell. It was almost whole, save for where the baby had popped out. It was quite awkward to carry, but lovely nonetheless. Grinning, she set it on the ground between them. "I am Calista, by the way. Where are my manners!" She smiled at the male that had approached also. "Hello!"

Sanctimonia watched as Calista fluttered off, and then brought back a robin's egg. San was so delighted at the thought of making new friends. "Thank you so much for this egg shell! It must have been hard to carry!" She picked it up carefully and stroked it. She never had a robin's egg shell before. It would make a nice addition to her collection of things back in her little home.
Sanctimonia turned around to notice a male Sprite. He had joined her while she was waiting for Calista to return. "Hello there! I didn't even notice you come up behind me. You're very quiet." She extended her hand, in a friendly gesture.

Saligia watched the group of Sprites that had gathered. She smirked to herself as she watched them give each other stupid gifts. With a large grin now plastered upon her face, she spread her wings, flapped them a few times to give herself leverage off the branch she was on, and suddenly dropped down to the level of the rest of the sprites. She landed riiiight beside Sanctimonia, and as she did so, one of her wings flickered and knocked the fragile robin's shell right out of her hands with a crash.
"....Whoops!" Sali snickered and pointed at the shell. "Should'a been more careful with that thing. They break pretty easily!"

Iolaus smiled back at Callista. "Hello." He turned to Sanctimonia and smiled, the faintest tinge of pink coloring his blue cheeks. "I am just naturally quiet; I do not often come across occasions that warrant noise-making." He smiled wider and took her hand. "My name is Iolaus. And what are your-?" He stopped short at the arrival of Saligia and his smile vanished as he saw her break the lovely robin's egg shell. He fixed Saligia with a calm, unsmiling face. "There was really no need to do that."

Calista furrowed her brow at the broken egg and looked back to Saligia. "Tell me, why would you do such a thing? None of us has done anything to you." She frowned and bent to pick up the fragments of the egg, her small wings fluttering as she did so diligently. She sought to get every last piece.

Sanctimonia had tears welling up in her eyes. Her sister had always been cruel. She did things like this to get her angry on purpose. She wasn't going to give her the satisfaction of making her mad again.
San turned to her sister and huffed. "Now, Sali, why did you have to do that?" She placed her hands on her hips and stood there, looking at her sister. "That wasn't very nice. You always just have to chime in and ruin things, don't you?" Sanctimonia bent down to help Calista pick up the pieces of egg shell on the ground. "You could have at least let me have it for a day before you went and broke it, Sali."
