Ode to my Bed By Adain-chan
Ode to my bed. I never see you enough, Though when I do, it is with much joy.
I love everything about you. Your soft feather pillows, Your warm wool blankets, And your wonderful flannel sheets. Even the cookie crumbs Hidden in the tangled bed cloths
Oh bed, we do so much together. We read and write together We eat and do homework together And of course, how could I forget? We sleep together!
Oh, how I cherish you My one true love My bed

Here's a poem I wrote a few days ago... it's called "Shot Down in Baghdad"... it's basically my desprate cry for the dissentful to rise up and take action against the war.
Oki, so heres my poem:
'Daddy, daddy, where has mother gone?'
Dare he tell the child the gruesome tale?
She was shot down and murdered
By American Troops
Our so-called 'heroes'
She was innocent, a mere civilian
Slaughtered unjustly in the streets of Baghdad
As 100,000 share her fate
We sit in silent compliance
As our leaders chant, chant
"War is Peace, War is Peace"
As they continue to send more off
To kill and be killed
In a senseless battle
Why do we sit so silent?
Are human lives not important enough?
Will we continue to comply,
With this brutal slaughter?
I fear too many will
When we should instead
Rise up and fight
These warmongers
These murderers
And free Iraq
From these American oppressors.
