I wrote this after seeing I am Legend (fantastic movie, and I highly recommend it... it was AMAZING!)
Here's a warning for you my son,
When the darkness makes it's way,
And the moon takes the place of the sun,
If you value your life, you'll stay away.
They come out when the rays of light are gone,
They'll feast on your flesh and your bones,
So if you're outside, you'd better start to run,
They're right on your tail with their horrible moans.
Lock your doors, and shut your windows,
Don't ever let anybody in,
Because when the lights are in their final throws,
You'll start to hear the groanin'.
They were people once, kind of just like you,
They once knew compassion and trust,
But now they want to turn your brains into goo,
They won't show any mercy, and won't give into lust.
The world has met it's apocolyptic end,
At least for the human race,
So pack your bags, my friend,
We're gone and we're not leaving but a trace.

I guess when I'm in the mood.... I personally don't like how this one worked... the first two verses just don't seem to "flow" I guess...

I'm not very good at making things flow... Its just not one of the things I do. But in my opinion it's still good.

I like it. It feels you can apply it to any type of danger, not just zombies. (Which I hope aren't real and never become so!).
