The Keep is the second largest building in town, outshone only (and notably) by the Monastary. Its a large stone building with unfortunate wooden additions atop the battlements. Apart from this the building seems solid and might even be able to hold off a moderate assault.
The towns few nobles tend to move in and out of the keep during the day though most of them have private residences in the town proper. They seem to be offended by the sweaty stench of training guardsmen.
The guardsmen are a polite if abrupt bunch and seem to pursue their job in earnest. The presence of the Monastary of Pelor may or may not have something to do with this, Pelor being not only a sun god but also a champion for the common man.
The town jail, generally empty, lies beneath the keep. Due to it's disuse the dungeon looks remarkably like all the horror stories of dungeons you've ever heard about, sans prisoners, of course.
