Mel nodded his head. "I myself would like to meet more dragonflies. It gets a little lonely being all alone. Specially with nobody to talk to cept for your belly." He peered around where they were. "Does your friend happen to live nearby here also?"

Slit thought for a moment. "Well she seems to move around alot. I don;t know if she has a place where she always stays. The only time she stayed in the same place was when she had her first kids." She thought on that for a moment then nods. "But i think she stays around a part of the forest more then others."

Mel smiled. "Well maybe we will run into her." He sniffed at the air then stopped. "I smell something!!" He followed his nose around sniffing at the ground. "It's a umm pretty scent. It kinda smells sweet." He continued to sniff around. He stopped then started digging thru the snow. "Hey look at this!!" He uncovered some berries that had not be ruined. "Seems like the fluffy white stuff saved them!!"

Slit peers around him to see the bright berries. "Wow I would think that it would be to cold for them to keep for long." She took in smell and smiles. "I guess we can't judge something for how it looks." She fliped a little snow up into the air. "Or how it feels."

Mel let out a small chuckle. "Well I guess this white fluff stuff isn't so bad. It's just a lil bit cold." He sniffed at the berries then smiled at Slit. "Think we can eat em? I know theres certain plants you can eat. Learned the hard way and got myself sick once."

Slit takes a closer look at the berries. "They look like they are safe to eat but..." She takes a step past him and took a little n** from one of the berries and let it sit in her mouth for a moment. With a grin on her face she turns. "Yes I say they are a good plant." She picked up the one she had take a small piece from and eats it stepping back.

Mel wagged his tail. "Well then dig in!! Theres more then enough for both of us." He dug out the hole a little wider so they both could share the berries. He grabbed a berry in his mouth then chewed on it. "Mmmmm!! These are tasty berries. Shall have to remember this spot. I think the plant will come back to life. Won't it?"

"I'm sure that it will after the powder is gone. Most things do when it gets warmer." Slit took another berry and let the flavour sit in her mouth again. For some reason the berries tasted so good to her. Maybe it was because she had not had some in a good amount of time.
