My ferret wriggled his way loose yesterday while the family was watching a movie. The doggie door was covered tight, and even had a white boarda nd a vaccuum cleaner leaned upagainst it. He was stronger than we thought.
He got loose and didn't come to us last night like he usually does. Mom woke me up this morning and well, he got run over. He passed quickly and we just got done burying him. He was the sweetest of the two...and now he's gone. I'm sad over it because I feel it was my fault. ><

I know what it feels like, but you mustn't blame yourself
that only makes it worse. I had a dog once (Gordo from my past sig
RIP Gordo) and he got loose. All of us in the family thought it
was our fault because I didn't want to put him back on the chain, my
dad said he would be alright off the chain one night like he had been the
other two nights he got off, my sister and my mom agreed with us.
So we all felt guilty and me even more because the last thing I said
to him was "I hate you, stupid mutt" cause he bit me.

Awww... :c *huggles Volly* I'm so sorry Volly. :c It isn't your fault at all! Besides, you said in your post that you didn't know he was that strong, so there really is nothing you can do about that now, is there? There's really no use crying over that spilled milk. But I'm really sorry about your ferret. :c

I agree with The Dark Nerd.
It's not your fault whatsoever. You didn't know he was that strong, so how could you have possibly prevented it?

That's really sad. It's so hard to lose a pet. But you shouldn't blame yourself, it doesn't sound like it had anything to do with you at all.
