I can also let you walk away in good understanding and have you remain with those Robin Hoods with as an assignment from my side. You see, I would hate to be on the opposite side. I truly would. Wouldn't you rather we talked this over, like the civilised men we are?"
If Andy was going to quit. Fine. But he'd do it in a proper way, with their differences settled. He wasn't going to risk him crossing sides and then having to deal with THAT.

Andy started, complaining, "Ya ain't never trusted me with nothing, and when I really try or when I get close, ya go accusin' me of things, or you put someone else in, and all I ever manage is bein' the butt end of a joke, or accused of not contributing. I'm Andy, I can't squish a bug, 'member? Why would I go and do something psychotic? 'Nd what makes you think it's just yer way and no other? How would you know, all you do is sit at that desk." He took a breath, "I know what I'm doin', I though you wanted to stop the attacks? But if ya cripple me, how can I?"

That's why I'd rather have you spend a few hours in a different environment every month. To get away for a bit," Charles explained. He figured he'd try to be honest to the young man, maybe that would work better than what he had tried before.
"I'm not accusing you of anything, Andy," he told him.

"I can't come over every week. It takes me a long time to get here, 'nd then I gotta go back. It takes like half a day. How d'ya explain that happening all the time? I can't do that, Charles. Trust is an important thing there. Big. 'Nd so is flexibility." Andy lost a bit of the accent he'd picked up now that he was trapped and having to really speak rationally, "I don't think I can even do that every other week, 'nd certainly not around the same time of month. Unless you got a story I can give 'em."

Charles nodded. "I understand. You're right, it would be too much of an inconvenience. But do you understand my reasoning of wanting you to out of there every once in a while?"

"So I'd really like for you to get involved with the Agency just a bit more," Charles explained. "You said you could spare two hours a month? I'd really like it, if you could try and spend that on the Sumert boy. The Graveler," he clarified. "It doesn't have to be a set date every month, but I'd really like you to try."

Andy looked up in surprise. Really? They could do that? He nodded, "Yeah, I can try." He gave. Charles was really going to just give it to him like that?

Andy sighed. Well, he could use a time traveler so he hadn't been picked up by police cars, because now he was going to have crap to deal with at home.
"Patience," he muttered, "'Nd trust. S'all I need. And maybe a cup of coffee for the trip home."

Andy got up and left, head whirling and uncertain about what had just happened.
What had happened?
He'd gotten himself screwed into something more that he hadn't meant to. And he'd be helping someone else get deeper into it. Fantastic. Well, at least he had time to think it over.
He needed to get something substantial done for Charles, or prove himself or something. Then maybe he'd stop breathing down his neck.
