“Alex, look at the people that I live with. Comparatively you and George are pretty normal…. Well at least sorta normal. And if normal people would do this for hugs then I really have to say thank goodness you’re not normal. I don’t think your room could handle it much more.” Greg glanced around her room and felt pretty sure about that. The things thrown about the room weren’t the lightest things that could be thrown, and if she had continued to rage she probably would have gotten even more worked up. The fact that weapons were getting thrown around was particularly unnerving to him, but at least they were in their sheaths, so they wouldn’t do much more than conk you.

“Well me and George and lucky to have a crazy little hellcat that we can try to take care of sometimes. We definitely count that as a blessing.” He said, with a smile. As he finished Alex started to lift up her head and he recognized it for the telltale kiss on the cheek that the woman often gave before leavening. He turned his face a little and looked down, so that it would be easier for her.

And instead kissed her full on the lips.

There was warmth on her lips, and it wasn't from his cheek. Green eyes stared widely into his blues, completely frozen save for the surprise that ran up her back. It wasn't even an innocent brushing of lips, it was a firm and pleasant kiss that left Alex completely drained of thought, utterly still in his arms. The shock kept her locked against him for several more heartbeats before she pulled back, slack jawed.

"Buh," she said intelligently, blinking to try and regain some semblence of composure. It was an accident, there was no need to make it into a big deal. "Little bit friendlier than I meant, but it'll do." A ridiculously wide grin came over her, a little giggle accompanying it. Not a bad save, if she did say so herself. As if to prove her point, she turned again and - after making sure he wasn't turning with her - gave him a quick peck on the cheek.

She felt so stupid! Greg was enamoured with Dante, she only hoped the little mishap didn't upset the red-head. The kiss succeeded in doing what all her tossing and howling couldn't accomplish; it brought her back down to earth and calmed her down significantly. "Thanks for coming by." She hastily added, "I mean...thanks for worrying about me. And braving the Tsunami Falcone." She smiled, tiredly. "I'm okay now...I'll clean this up after I take a nap. I wore myself out, I think. A gal can only handle so much excitement in one day."

((Not quite like the first one, but after that whole deleting thing... =.= I wanna hurt myself...))

He didn’t know what to say. HE Greg, who had comeback for every day of the week, was utterly speechless. He just stood there until Alex was the one that pulled away. He wouldn’t have shown any shock if it had just been a normal surprise kiss, after all he had gotten a lot of those in his life, but it was Alex. The surprise that showed through his widened blue eyes was because of that. Because it was Alex. Alex was protecable, likeable, lovable, even cheek-kissable, but not lip-kissable. He still couldn’t come up with anything to say as she pulled away and then proceeded to stand there and simply stare at each other.

It probably looked sorta stupid. Two people standing in a nearly destroyed room, staring at each other and looking completely shocked. Greg continued to try to think of something to say, but really, all that would come was ‘ALEX?’. Fortunately she managed to say something and spar him the trouble. It made him coming up with something a lot easier.

“Well don’t go around and be friendly like that all the time.” He said, as she kissed his cheek. “I wouldn’t want you to leave behind a trail of broken hearts because people were confused on how you showed friendship.” He finished up with a smile and a laugh. He knew that it wasn’t the smartest, nor even one of his better comebacks, but he seriously doubted that Alex would start judging what he said now of all times.

“Don’t worry about it Alex,” Greg said, hugging her and giving her his own quick peck on the cheek. “I promise that I’ll come and check up on you so annoyingly often. Just like I’m supposed to. For now I think that sleep sounds good for you, but if you feel better later you should stop by, just to make sure that everything’s okay. If you don’t though, I’ll assume that you’re still sleeping.” He let go and picked his way to the door, smiling as he did so. “Anyway, don’t worry about anything, it’ll just get better. After all things can only get so bad, after that they have to get better.”

((I still love ya. 8D))

Alex chortled at his teasing, a quirk of her lips the only indication she may have thought of his joking as silly. "I'll come by, I promise. I don't nap well, so I doubt I'll be asleep for long." She followed him through the sea of thrown belongings, pushing some aside with her toe while flat out stepping on others.

"Ever the optimist," she chuckled, stepping over the bag that all the items had likely been thrown from in order to sneak in another quick hug. "Don't you worry about me, you know nothing gets under my skin. Not for long." Alex suddenly felt awkward, knowing that the whole situation was because of her reaction to Kenth. Greg's younger brother. The older of which she had just kissed inadvertantly, and not all that--...no, no need to get off track. Awkward didn't quite cover it.

A playful smile chased away her thoughts, giving a playful shooing gesture. "I'll see you in a few hours. Just pretend this never happened." Alex grinned a little shyly.

“Well optimism’s is a great thing, that’s what keeps you so happy too.” Greg smiled and patted her shoulder. It seemed that the two of them were okay, and that the kiss would be forgotten or at least ignored. At the very least it seemed that they would pretend that they didn’t remember or it hadn’t happened. That, in fact, was what Alex said next.

“I’ll see you then, and don’t worry. I’m not even sure what you’re asking me to pretend never happened, although you should keep your room a little cleaner.” He said with a smile. He would pretend that this never happened to others, and the kiss he would ignore himself too, but the rest, the talk, that was too important. If she was alright then he supposed that he would see her again, and if she wasn’t okay, then he would make sure to see her and try to make things better.

“So I’ll talk to you later, Alex. Bye.”

All that she really wanted him to forget was that she lost her cool; she had, for the moment, dismissed the kiss as mere accident (and if she thought too much about it, she'd be grossed out that she possibly got a second-hand ELF kiss). Heck, it would have been nice if she wasn't so tied up over his brother, but Alex wouldn't think about that just yet either. In fact, she hoped to stop thinking all together, and sleep off most of the heady feeling that her anger had given her.

"Yeah yeah, what can I say? I'm making myself at home." She stuck her tongue out at him before grinning, giving a little wave. "Talk to you soon, Greg. Take care." Alex rarely ever said 'good bye.' In her experience, it had always been too final; it was, in her own right, a superstition. So a 'take care' or 'see ya later' was often all she offered, and it seemed warmer and more welcome to her.

She shut the door with a tired smile, resting her forehead against it for a moment. Her heart was beating abnormally fast, and she couldn't tell if it was from the situation, the mess she'd gotten herself into (literally) or something else all together. She also found she didn't care, as her weariness was starting to drag her down. Alex moved to the bed and fell upon it, curling partially on her stomach and side, her loose hair wildly strewn about her face.

It didn't take long for her to fall asleep. For the first time since China, she was too exhausted for the nightmares to come; and so she slept, for the time being...
