Laying in the snow, brown fur tinged orange from the fire's glow. The warmth the fire brought him made him smile softly to himself and he looked upwards toward the sky at the softly falling snow. Every breath Blitzen let out, came out in a puff of white smog in the chilly night.
Shaking his head gently, a few clumps of snow fell to the ground of the top points of the tall antlers on his head. Blitzen looked around him, no signs of life showed themselves on this dark, starry night and he sighed softly.

Seika was drawn to the nearby smell of burning twigs. She could already see the embers burning in the distance and her eyes eyes flickered with amusement. She had an addiction to fire. It was hard to explain.
As she came closer, she noticed there was another Ulaya by it. This ulaya, though, had horns adorned atop his head like a crown, hooves, and a deer-like tail. He also had reins and bells decorating his brown and white pelage. She approached with caution, not knowing how he'd react to her presence. She was also ready for any attacks. She had horns too . . .

He nearly didn't see her through the fire's glow and eerie dancing but he caught the glimpse of large ram horns. With concentration, he could make out the silhouette of another Ulaya and a smile turned up on his maw. Nlitzen craned his neck a bit, to get a better glimpse. Female, orange body with red tail and hair. Like the fire he sat close to. Beautiful markings covered over the orange, he believed they blended well...And horns, unlike his though. These were curled, ram horns. He watched her carefully, her posture saying that she wasn't here to pick a fight but she had spotted him. But then again, once could never be to cautious. Blitzen raised his head to a higher level, without noticing it himself and called out a calm greeting. " Greetings, to the pretty stranger Ulaya."

Seika looked up at the Reindeer Ulaya, well, that's what she concluded. He seemed nice, so she straightened up into a normal posture. "Greetings to you as well." She replied, her eyes fixed back on the mesmerizing flames. She snapped back to reality and jolted up to meet the other Ulaya's gaze. "I'm sorry. Fire hypnotizes me."

Blitzen watched the stranger, as her eyes drifted away to another place. As she came to, he chuckled softly and turned his gaze to the fire as well. "No worries. The fire's dance can sooth the soul sometimes. It can speak of both the past and the future...tell stories of fantasy...and of course warm the traveling stranger." He broke his gaze away from the flame, chuckled softly again and looked to her. " Pardon my manners. My name is Blitzen...eh..and no..I'm not one of Santa's reindeer" He laughed calmly at the thought and shock his head, more snow falling from the large antlers.

Seika chuckled softly. "I'm Seika." She greeted with a flick of her tail. "I'm terribly sorry about my fire obsession." She apologized again. She didn't really like being too rude.

The reindeer Ulaya shook his head. " No need to apologize, Seika. We all have things in our life we love or are 'obsessed' with." Blitzen laughed, and he stood up, stretched and walked away from the fire's glow, disappearing into darkness.
Noises of rustling and the crunch of snow under foot steps. A sudden bang, like thunder, rolled over the land and then several sounds of splintering wood.
