I tried to play a low a# on my bari sax and a piccolo shot out of the end of it. o_O

During summer practice, I came back from a break. I picked up my trumpet and got in line as always. We started tuning, at attention, and when they got to me a lizard came out, running for it's life. The thing caused havok as the rest of the trumpets laughed at me, and it ran up a flute players leg. She ran into a drummer, which knocked down another drummer into a mud puddle. Classic...

my sister found a flute cleaner [not the rod, the towel thingy] stuck in the middle of her flute. it was hilarious because the previus must've left it there.

kingjt13 the strangest thing to find in a trumpet is the correct notes being played... Aw, sad panda! eek xd I once got a ring stuck in my trumpet. The kid next to me tried to help by banging it against the floor, and my whole bell got crunched in. sad eek I just realized how I want my future husband to propose to me. xd

I cleaned out my horn one day and an ear-wig came out the bell!!! So gross!!

once, this kid in our band couldn't play his euphonium, and some of the band section leaders took it apart, and there was a flower pencil, a pretzel wrapper... other stuff that I forgot, but yea, some random stuff

Some one got an action figure stuck in the bell of his French horn becasue he was pretending that it was sinking down some vortex or something.

Well, this is a very very nasty one.....
I am Uniform and equipment manager and Low brass Captain.....
It was the end of school and I was in the bandroom doing an inventory of all of the instruments, putting them togeather and playing them (because I know how to play them all)
Well, I went to play a Tenor Saxophone and it played fine, but it had an aweful sound coming out of it, and when I shook it it had a dull thudding noise coming within it..... confused
I Looked inside of it to find " A Girl's Special Toy" sweatdrop
Luckly I knew the girl who played the tenor, and after I caller her, she immediately came to pick her "toy" up.......
Aparently she used the tenor to hide it from her mom, but she forgot to take it out before she turned the instrument in.
she was quite embarrassed, but I promised to never tell anyone in the band program.........
The really weird thing is, we are now going out xd

Hmmm. well this isnt really something that was in an instrument, but something that happened to it. we were doing marching warm ups(running, jumping...that kind of thing) and when we were jumping, this kid i hate(alot) cam over and punched me while i was in the air. this knocked me back and made me land on some kids trumpet who decided he'd leave it in the middle of the room on the floor. the bell was crushed, but oddly enough, it was still in tune......

Once, one of the smaller guys put his head inside a sousaphone... stare That didn't work out too well...
Another time, a trumpet wasn't working and we found a whole bunch of pens in it... stare stare
