"Erus..."a soft voice whispered in the air, It came from the door in my bed.
I lived in a mansion with 39 bedrooms, so why do I hear it? . It was a woman's voice, soft and delicate as it was, it gave me the goosebumps. I fallowed it were it lead me,it called again" Erus....." this time it came from the attic. the Attict that was on the roof, where all our Antiques were stored. I went out of my room and walked silently and carefully as to not wake my sister, my parents and the 29 servants living in the house. My room was situated at the very top of the mansion just below the attic.
I went up the stairs, quietly trying not to make the stairs creek. Our house is very old, It has been passed through generations through generations of the Regis clan. I finally reached the Attic, It was cold and humid, I was freezing because I was wearing Pajamas when I got there. It called me as it called before " Erus........!" this time much louder and much closer, as if I she was there or it. I scurried through the attic blinded by darkness. I could not see anything at all, I felt both scared and excited. I didn't know where I was nor the time. Then after hours and hours of searching I saw a light, a dim light varely visible, but nonetheless a light. It came from a chest, the standard normal chest the size of a big dog. I stopped to look at it and picked it up, but I couldn't it was as if it was stuck to the ground. I blew on since it was mighty dirty, It was laced in gold and was made of delicated Rosewood. It said:
Ut Vicis est vox. Ut Plenus luna Fulsi Ut Suus Nepotis volvit Duodecim annus is vadum hereditas suus Vox
"huh?" he said" What language is this?" I asked himself as I run through my fingers in the delicate encarved writing, suddenly the letters started to glow, while a voice whispered in the air" When the Time is right,.... when the full moon shines,..... When His Grandson turns Twelve years......he shall inherit his right....." the Voice ended when a gust blew the clouds outside reaviling the full moon.He recited the phrase once more" Ut Vicis est vox. Ut Plenus luna Fulsi Ut Suus Nepotis volvit Duodecim annus is vadum hereditas suus....' A powerfull gust blew in inside the house making it tremble as if an Earthquake had struck. I held unto the Chest Tightly, the same voice appeared" Open the box..". I did as I was told after all it was the same voice that led him there. I opened the chest and it sucked all the power full gust and wind inside it, reaviling a black stick, with a goldenhandle. It was 14 inches long and he recognised the wood to be Rosewood, the same wood the box was made from. He admired the thin coating of gold.Next to it was a big book, looking like a dictionary. An old book probably from the age of my great, great, great, great grand father. I recognised it because I had memmorised all the Family members in the Tree. But alas I did not recognise the name but it bore the name Regis so It must be of my family. I read the the title:"Libri di Fabula quod Creatura( Book of story and Creature) it was the same language as the carvings in the Chest read. I said" Why can't they write in normal in the Old days..." I said in exhesparation, I waited for the voice to translated but only a small wind came. The book was big and it was weighing on me so I sat down where the Big chest lay. A piece of parchment fell to the ground from the book. I opened it with me saying" If this is written in the same language I'm gonna-" he was stopped and read the parchement" Goodluck Great Grandson you'll need it, the book too", "but why?"he asked himself, he returned the parchment to the book." What is all of this got to do with me?" he looked at the stick, and admired the glow it emmited" what is this stick for, is this all I'm gonna inherit?" the stick was amazing it had to be a rare item worth millions, but he had other plans" Great, this is all I'm going to have when father and mother die?" he looked at the book and took it."Okay, this is where the saying " Don't judge a book by its cover" kicks in..." he opened it and started to read
A creeking sound interrupted him from his concentration." someone's coming" I said with a whisper. He turned around and hid everything in side the chest. the Door opened revealing it to be the House butler, Mr. Lupin, he was frightened at the sight of me, probably thinking I'm was a Boggart or something " God, Erus you almost gave me a heart attack right there" he said with the most intoned british accent he looked relived, I laughed a bit" What Altus? thinking I was a Boggart or something?" he looked at me seroiusly" hahahaha, very funny, if this is your Idea of a joke it is not very funny at all.Now, Come on,young master , lets get you to bed but first shower...god you stink!" Mr. Altus Lupin had a keen sense of smell and hearing, that was because he was a werewolf.but for a werewolf, he did not seem very fierce to me, but rahter skinny and a bit fragile . My father hired him for protection. We also have maids that are hybrids like sirens, gorgons and Unicorns turned to humans.
Meanwhile, in the Attic something was happening, the chest was glowing again...It opened and a burst of light came out and all sorts of creatures undefined by the world of magic came out screeching and shouting but none could hear. then outside of their house just in the Northern part of the house, there in the backyard was a translucent light and out of it came 5 figures.
