The morning was quiet, even in the busy hospital. Cely entered silently with her duffelbag, waving at the tired nurse at the front office and the group that greeted her around the forum. She went up to the first woman and smiled warmly, trying to be cheery at the crack of dawn. "Good Morning, Konoko-san," She spoke softly, her natural charm working of it's own accord. "How are you today?"
The woman greeted her with a friendly smile, pushing up her glasses. She flipped a few pages in the clipboard and examined it closely, squinting. "Good morning, Cely-chan! I am doing much better today, thank you. A few days off did wonders for me." She yawned, a small sound of surprise escaping her throat. "Ah," Her lips moved soundlessly, assessing the situation. She looked back up at Cely for clarification. "Judging from your appointment, I'd say you yourself are not any better?"
Cely shrugged, laughing nervously under the woman's worried eyes. "Unfortunately, no. But it doesn't matter," She said cheerfully, her head tilting gently. "It means I get to spend more time with the wonderful staff here. I'm sure I'll be well cared for."
"Ah, Cely-chan, you are much too sweet for such a young girl," Konoko blushed, standing behind the glass. The nurse exited the front station, seeing as there were no patients on the way this early, and moved to escort Cely to her room. She hugged the clipboard the her chest and put in her bluetooth earpiece to keep track of work. As she gestured toward the hallway, she winked at Cely teasingly. "Most girls your age are rude and boisterous! It's a wonder you aren't taken."
Cely blushed and laughed, entering the elevator. She watched Konoko closely as she poked her pen into the little red '3' button. "Well, you never know when something might happen. I've just decided to wait and enjoy the ride."
"Mmm, so something HAS happened?"
Cely waved her arms frantically, nearly losing hold on her duffelbag when she jumped out of the elevator ahead of the smirking woman. "Konoko-san! Please!" Her face flushed when the woman laughed, and she fidgetted unusually.
Konoko smiled warmly. "Don't worry, Cely-chan. I will keep it to myself. No need to worry!" She handed Cely the key to her room and started down the hallway. She waved over her shoulder and called, "I'll come see you after my shift!"
Cely waved back with a quick goodbye and stared up at the door infront of her. Under the bold, black '314' plastered to the door was posted 'Celessiya Howards'. She grunted at the sight of her full name, but decided against ripping off the sign. Instead, she twisted the key in the knob and pushed the door open slowly. It was cool as always, just as she liked it, though a bit spacious for just one person. She always thought that a 'hospital suite' was a bit odd, but supposed sick people would need comfort most of all. There was one window, which had the shades drawn and an orange glow shining in, with a small vase with two flowers on the windowsil. Tigerlilies. She smiled again. A cushy loveseat was in the corner of the room, to the right of the desk with the TV. A wii sat next to the TV with two controllers by it, as well as three gamecube controllers and another controller hooked up and strung to the big, silky-soft bed. The desk by the bed had a box of sculpey on it, along with an acrylics paint set and a box of brushes. The box was on a smooth black sketchbook, new and clear. Cely dropped her duffelbag at the foot of the bed, quickly changed into her pajamas, and crawled into the bed. The sheets were cool and cozy, and she leaned back calmly, wondering if she would get any visitors that day.

The door to room 314 opened softly, and Konoko popped her head in, her loosened brown hair swinging around her shoulder, brushing against her pink-tinted cheeks. "Cely-chan~!" She called cutely. She waited for a reply, but none came. Odd. She opened her eyes to find the room empty, the bed unmade and the wii still on and running. Even odder. Concerned, Konoko pushed into the room and opened the door to the personal restroom. "Cely-chan?" No one. She began to worry-- Cely was awfully restless at times. Maybe she ran off?? Konoko ran out the door and back into the hallway--headfirst into the arms of the very girl she was searching for.
Cely smirked at Konoko, catching the equally short girl by her shoulders and holding her steady. "Mellow, Konoko-chan, I'm here." She laughed at the embarrased face she recieved. For a teenager, Cely always managed to take the time to be grateful for the love she recieved. She kissed the girl's forehead softly, causing the girl to splutter and blush. Cely didn't mind, though. People always gave her strange looks for the way she generally thanked them. It was just the way she was. She didn't mean to make people uncomfortable. She turned the girl by her shoulders and ushered her back into the room. "So, Kono-chan. What seems to be the trouble? You're more flustered then usual." Of course, Cely supposed, the kiss could be part of it.
Konoko nodded, the embarassement wearing off somewhat. She sat down on the bed and tossed her legs up, crossing them under her. Cely sat down opposite of her, in the same position. Konoko took a breath and started. "Well, it's about my fiancee..."
Cely nodded, listening closely and letting the girl vent to her. She smiled kindly and listened, wanting to be of as much help as possible.

Cely wandered the halls of the hospital, listening to the maons and coughs and steady beeps of the patients and their equipment. It was terribly depressing, being there. She frown and looked around at the clock. She thought back on Konoko for a moment, but brushed it from her mind and exitted through the fire escape. She glanced down; A good 50 foot drop, at least. She looked back over her shoulder and found a ladder to the roof; a much better choice. She quickly and nimbly ascended the ladder and padded easily onto the roof. It had been too quiet since Konoko left. The stars were out and the moon was high. A perfectly clear night. With nothing left to do, she pulled a cover around her shoulders and stared at the sky. Her eyes drifted closed, but only in thought. 'I suppose it's too late for a visitor tonight. Aniki must be awfully busy.' But she knew better. He was at home with his fiancee, probably preparing dinner. She smiled. 'He doesn't know better. Selfish idiot.' She laughed a bit, but ubruptly stopped when her phone began to vibrate. Her heart skipped a beat. Aniki? She grabbed at her phone and checked her text message:
Wahhh, Sy, I miss you so much!! Me and Miharu bought our tickets already and we're coming up soon!! ^3^ Hugs and kisses! -Ritsy
She couldn't help but laugh aloud, entirely forgetting that she had been expecting it to be her brother. "Poor Luka, I can't believe I left him alone with that idiot," She chuckled, before sending him a mesage back and putting away her phone. She missed him so much, it wasn't even funny, but at least thinking of her best friend's goofy face kept her thoughts away from her brother. She smirked and leaned back, staring at the stars until one of her nurses found her and took her back.

Cely put her phone away after her last text to Kaoru, hearing a familiar knock at the door. "Come in," She called, too lazy to fetch the door. The new doctor, probably in his early thirties, entered, shutting the door with a light 'click' behind him. As Cely was such a frequent patient, and had her own room set aside in the Ohtori Hospital, Konoko had posted a sign by her door: 'People in need knock four times on the door.' The sight of the sign gave Cely a satisfied grin. She couldn't stand to see people in pain, and wanted to help anyone and everyone that was stressed, friend or no. She was frequently in her room with a doctor, a nurse, other patients, or even just people passing the hospital who knew of her and needed assistance. She wanted to help people in any way possible, and apparently, she made for a good crying shoulder.
She had dealed with many a nutcase in her time in room 314, but this was getting a bit out of hand. The man had started the talk with her, at first calm and cool, but steadily got louder as time went along. At some point, he had stood and began pacing, screaming about his divorce. When she could no longer calm him, he began to get rowdy, but she let him do as he wanted until he swept everything of the desk in a fit of anger. She flipped her legs sideways, standing slowly. He had been bottling up too much stress-- his mind couldn't handle it. In a last ditch attempt, he grabbed the vase on the sil and hurled it at her.

Kyouya entered the hospital, not looking his best. One of the nurses came to him with a wheelchair. Taking a seat in it, he was then whisked off down the hall. He was talking to the nurse, explaining his symptoms before sighing. "Please keep Watari updated for me if I can't," he said, getting up carefully from the wheelchair and getting into the bed that had been readied for him. The nurse left, as he lay back, staring at the ceiling.
After sometime the nurse returned and took Kyouya for a chest x-ray. The doctor examined it before finally explaining to him what exactly needed to be done. Lying back on his bed, he thought about how the procedure was going to go. He was going to be treated as an out patient, as it was a simple operation. They needed to drain a bit of fluid out of the sac around his heart to relieve the pressure.
It wasn't long before the nurse returned, and took him into the operating room. He could have easily stayed awake during the procedure and just had lots of pain killers and numbing medicine, but chose not to for the sake of recovering quickly. He easily went to sleep with the anesthesia where they were able to remove some of the fluid to have it tested. Having been returned to his room after the two hour operation, the Shadow King awoke feeling infinitely better.
Discharging himself, Kyouya returned home.
