i've only broken two stick, but i don't play drums often, so yeah. mallets on the other hand let me see, i've had six rattan heads pop off and three plastic heads, no biggie, head's pop off a lot, but i've had the shaft of four marimba mallets break during last year's marching season, all within a week, one of them broke in two places.

heh, our snares compete to see who can break the most sticks. one football game, two of them started out with sticks that were about to break and had a race to see who could break theirs first.

but yeah, we have a stick graveyard in the drum room, ive lost count of how many have been broken. heck, i've broken a stick, and i play cymbals!
xp i think the drumline spends more on sticks than all of the woodwinds put together spend on reeds.

I've broken afew before, but only like 6 pair.
you all should be asking this though,
are you a better Drummer if you've broken more, or less sticks?
more sticks means you're experienced, and have been playing for a long time.
but less sticks can also mean that you aren't power housing every hit and beating the crap out of every pair. thus having a good playing form.
So which is it?
