Regarding/err, regardless of that last note...XP
Anyway...Rem dislikes the worst type of humans to have possession of the Death Note and particularly she dislikes Light. But she follows Misa's every whim, seeing as she's Misa's shinigami, which doesn't end well for Rem.
Ryuk well...he's just not helpful. Ehh, a deal's a deal to him...it's not like Ryuk was gonna be a big giant ragimuffin lol. >.<

Ogre_Dan78 Kira and L are essentially light and dark. Both are extremely intelligent, and can predict eachothers moves. In all actuality, they were both light, but when Yagami discovered the notebook, it was like the apple in the garden of eden. He took the path that L could not take due to the fact he never found the notebook. One can only speculate on what L would do with the notebook. omg man i think u just discovered the deeper meaning of ryuk and the apples!!!! eek im not joking im serious HOW POETIC!

Here is what I know of the differences: Kira (Light) and L. Ryuk and Rem. Near and Mellow. These three are totally different in their own views, and they are different because no two character can be the same; if you want a real difference, you may not see it but Near and L; yes, L's successor, Near. L was one of the greatest detectives of the "world" and loved sweets, whereas, Near, loves his toys. However, when you go into it, their was a battle after the death of L. (Yes, I know what a shame...not!) Near took over the job since Mellow was too power hungry and wanted things his way or he would be so inferior. Well, you may agree or disagree, but this is just my opinion.

ok then.....
L:he is smart extremely smart but he doesn't have so many gf he is also a extremely good tenis player and he is so kind!!! and he always eats sweets
Light:he is smart extremely smart and he has so many gf he is also a extremely good tenis player but he is evil when he had the Death note evil
and he eats less sugar
