Alright.

As you may know, I own a Wii. I use the Wii a lot. I use it even as my main source of internet access.

So, as a proud Wii owner, I use all it's fuctions often. Even that weird Photo Channel. The one in particular that I am going to point out is the Wii Shop Channel, which features "Virtual Console", a function that allows you to play classic games on the Wii.

Now, my dilemna is that I can't decide what I should get. I've decided I don't want any N64 games, and I decided the same for Neo Geo, but that leaves four different consoles: SNES, NES, Sega Genesis, and TurboGrafx-16.

The Wii Points card, which I buy one at a time so I know I won't be going overboard, come in 2000 points. NES games cost 500 each, SNES and Genesis cost 800 each, and TurboGrafx-16's 600 per.

Simple math can prove that the only ways to spend my points fully with these numbers is one SNES/Gen game, and two Turbografx, or 4 NES games.

Now, I've decided which games I want the most, the problem is deciding which "combination" I want more.

I've decided, for the Four NES games...

Metroid: An adventure game where you navigate your way through many levels. Simular, and gave the idea to, castlevania games today.

Solomon's Key: You control a wizard and you make and break blocks to help you on your two-d adventure.

Wrecking Crew: You control Mario and Luigi and you break building and stuff. How awesome is that?

Castlevania 2: You control Simon Belmont, and you have to find Dracula's parts. Early styled Castlevania game.

Then, there is the other option, of SNES/GEN+2TGx. The thing is, I haven't decided if I wanted a SNES or Gen game.

SNES: Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past: The last, and best, 2d LOZ game on a console. Simular game to any LoZ game.

Genesis: Shining in the Darkness: RPG based on Dungeons; looks like a LOT of fun.

Turbografx: Military Madness: Oldschool RTS. Very difficult, but one of the best TGx games, supposively.

TGx: Bomberman '93: It's Bomberman! God! How does THAT require explanation?

So, please help me. D: I can't decide.

TL;DR:I need to choose which games to download on my Wii. Either Metroid, Solomon's Key, Wrecking Crew, and Castlevania 2, or LoZ:ALttP/Shining in the Darnkess, Military Madness, and Bomberman '93.

I would think that would be a matter of preference.

Metroid is indeed a fun game for the NES but the lack of any real mapping system and continuous/confusing system of halls makes it very difficult to navigate.

Although you didn't list them, the original Legend of Zelda and LoZ 2: Link's Adventure are also very entertaining to play. The original is very much classical LoZ top-view gameplay while LoZ2 is a 2-d Action/Platform RPG. Both have their challenges and should be considered if you're an avid Zelda fan.

I've not played Solomon's Key or Wrecking Crew.

Other good NES games are:

-Mike Tyson's Punch Out!
-Mega Man 2 and on
-Kid Icarus

Most Castlevania games are done quite well, especially the 2-D platformers. Consider the other ones if they're available.

LoZ:LttP is definitely a good buy. Good times back in the day when I would play it on my SNES.

If you want other good games for the SNES, consider:

-Super Metroid
-Super Mario All-Stars (features all the original Super Mario games)
-Super Mario World
-Super Mario RPG
-Donkey Kong Country 1-3
-Mega Man X
-Chrono Trigger
-Final Fantasy 2 & 3
-Secret of Mana
-Secret of Evermore
-Street Fighter (1 or 2)

AND MANY MORE!

Unfortunately, my Genesis library (back in the day when I had the system) consisted little more than the Sonic series.

And I've not played the TGx. ._.;

Of course, disregard all this if the games are not for sale, you already have them via console, or you flat out don't like them.

ninja For the benefit of Mr. Kite...

Sega Genesis! That's my suggestion. xD!!
Anything from that system.<3

In particular, even though you already listed some possibilities, you should get Shinobi, Aladdin, or Raymond. (That was Sega, right? It's been so long since I've seen it that I'm not sure anymore... sweatdrop )
Also, any of the original Bombermans are FTW!

...there will be a show tonight. domokun

@Druki- Metroid doesn't have mapping? Still would be a fun game, but damn.

I would probably be going for Legend of Zelda if I didn't already have it on LoZ:Collecter's Edition. As for a lot of SNES games you mentioned, I own them either on VC or in person.

I'm REALLY waiting for Megaman games, since none are out for the Virtual console, and I LOOOOVED Megaman 2 when I was a wii (ninpundo lol) little one.

Is Punch Out actually good? It looks weird to me, and I tend to stay away from classic fighters, since I still have memories of the first few (impossible) Mortal Kombat games.

There is currently Castlevania, Castlevania 2, and maybe Castlevania 3, but I'd have to double check on that one. I've played Castlevania 2, and although hard to understand, it was fun.

This is hearsay, but isn't the first Street Fighter REALLY bad? I own Street Fighter 2 Turbo, and it's cool and all, but I heard Street Fighter was terrible, maybe in comparison. Secret of games would be awesome, and I'd love Final Fantasy, Chrono Trigger, and the Megaman X games.

@Otakkun- I was thinking Shinobi, when I saw it. I haven't played the originals, but I fell in love with the game for the PS2, though I know both are rediculously different.

I've already got games like Shining Force and Gunstart Heroes for the Genesis, so that's a start atleast.

@both and anyone to post yet- But what about the templates? Which of those two templates should I get?
